As for the people who didn’t receive the pause email and think that this means they are rejected because the email was only sent to semi-finalists — you are wrong.

The email was sent to everyone who applied to IYLEP and received a submission confirmation before the deadline on 12/10. If you didn’t get the email, check your spam folder, or maybe it went to a different email (or if you never even got the submission confirmation in the first place, that means you never actually applied — and well, no loss, the program got paused anyway). Remember that if you did receive a confirmation back then then don't worry it doesn't matter of you didn't receive this email cuz it's a technical issue.

Anyway, to make it even clearer, I personally made an account, submitted the form, and filled all the fields with random letters and dots just to make sure I would get an email when results come out.

Since I filled the form with random gibberish, it’s obviously rejected — but still, I received the pause email yesterday. So stop overthinking, and just forget about IYLEP until they officially announce other news.

بالنسبة لموضوع الاشخاص الما وصلهم ايميل الايقاف و يظنون انه معناه انهم مرفوضين از ان الايميل تم ارساله للمقبولين سيمي فاينل فقط فانتو غلطانين.

الايميل تم ارساله لكل شخص قدم على ايلب و وصله تأكيد تقديم قبل نهاية التقديم يوم ١٠/١٢. اذا ما وصلك الايميل فتأكد من صندوق السبام او ممكن وصلك على غير ايميل (او في حال ما واصلك تأكيد استلام الاستمارة اصلا فيعني انت ما قدمت و يلا مو خسارة البرنامج تم ايقافه لخاطرك) اهم شي انت استلمت تأكيد تفديم بوكتهة و هسة هذا ايميل الايقاف مو مهم ما وصلك بسبب خلل تقني.

المهم و للتأكيد اكثر، اني سويت حساب و قدمت و كل الفراغات مليتهن بنقاط و احرف عشوائية مجرد حتى من تطلع النتائج يوصلني ايميل و اعرف طلعت لو لا.

بما انه مليت الاستمارة باحرف عشوائية معناها اكيد استمارتي مرفوضة، بس مع ذلك وصلني الايميل مال الايقاف البارحة. فلا يظل بالكم و انسوا ايلب اصلا لحد ما هم يبلغوكم بشي جديد ❤️

The form always has issues the first few days when it opens. Don't worry if something doesn't work properly when it opens, the staff will be notified and the IT team will fix it. Best advice is to work on the essays separately and finish the rest of the form later after it has no issues.

هاي اكو سالفة بالاستمارة مال التقديم، كلما تنفتح كل سنة بيهة مشاكل اول ايام. لا يظل بالكم بخصوص هيج سوالف، الستاف راح يوصلهم خبر و راح يحلون المشكلة مهما كانت. افضل نصيحة هي ان تبدون تكتبون المقالات بسكل منفصل و وراهة تملون باقي الاستمارة ورة ما تنحل المشاكل.
