Popsicles for the Fourth of July tomorrow! The recipe from Renee Kohley calls for full fat coconut milk or raw milk or raw cream. Cultured dairy works too. Sweetened with maple syrup or honey or just the fruit alone. Follow campsite.bio/westonaprice for the recipe!
Independence Day is an opportunity for us to celebrate our freedom to choose how we nourish ourselves and our children, how we support our health and how we ensure we have informed consent!
How much fat should we eat? There’s a lot of variation in traditional diets. For the Inuit, fat can comprise up to 80 percent of dietary calories; for some groups in Africa, fat content is much lower, probably about 30 percent. Whatever the level in the diet, these fats are mostly animal fats or highly saturated coconut or palm oil. Some people do very well on high-fat diets—they stabilize blood sugar and maximize the assimilation of fat soluble nutrients. Others have trouble digesting lipids and feel better on a diet that is lower in fat. Most people do best when fat contributes between 40 to 60 percent of total calories. For a diet of 2400 calories per day, that translates to about ten tablespoons of fat, including the fat on meat, in egg yolks, and in whole dairy products, in addition to cooking fat and added fat like butter.

"There are more beneficial bacteria in a spoonful of raw sauerkraut than there are in a whole bottle of probiotic pills." — Sally Fallon Morell
Also, we've seen published that sauerkraut actually has the most vitamin C out of any food. This dish contains 700 milligrams of vitamin C per cup.
Do you make your own sauerkraut? Let us know with a thumbs up emoji! Here is a recipe and reel demonstrating how to, which can be viewed on either platform by the public:
Sound on for this one!
Red meat has been demonized! Of course, not all meat is created equally. We recommend pasture-raised and finished meat. Click on https://campsite.bio/westonaprice to read our article "It’s the Beef" that covers myths and truths about beef. Sneak peak: beef does not cause heart disease!
The reel is shared from Erica Bryan and audio is from Jessalyn Randle - both on Instagram.
We've experienced censorship and even been removed entirely from Facebook, so we want to take a moment to appreciate this social media platform that allows us to speak freely and openly!
As a matter of clarification, we did re-establish ourselves with a different name on Facebook, but have never reached the number of followers we had previously.
Measles is in the news with headlines that it is "on the rise around the world" so we wanted to direct you to an article written by Sally Fallon Morell on the topic, as well as a video recorded by Dr. Sam Bailey, MD. Please click on https://campsite.bio/westonaprice to review both! They are quick!
Please keep an open mind to other narratives beyond what the mainstream media and medical model report to us!

Do any of our community members hunt? Let us know with a thumbs up!
Is there any way hunting ever be considered “sacred?” Kyle Kinsbury, former Mixed Martial Arts professional and the host of The Kyle Kingsbury Podcast, suggests that it can.
On today's podcast, Kyle explains how each hunt teaches the hunter something different - either technical, emotional, or spiritual. He covers lessons he has learned during some of his hunts about the importance of slowing down and even praying before the hunt. He explores the ancient wisdom of honoring the animal, asking permission before the kill, and the intimate connection between man and beast. He also shares what he has learned about the sacred as he hunts, farms, and leads his family.
