💔 Breaking the Silence: GBV Against Men and Spousal Abuse 💔

Did you know that men can also be victims of gender-based violence? Men often experience emotional, physical, or financial abuse in their relationships but are less likely to seek help due to stigma and societal expectations.

🔹 Prevalence: While conversations around GBV often focus on women, spousal abuse against men is a reality that needs attention. Many men feel isolated and are afraid of judgment, leaving them without proper support systems.

🔹 Supporting Survivors:
- Listen without judgment.
- Encourage them to seek help from trusted resources.
- Share information on hotlines and support services.

👉 Quote from a survivor:
"My own father disowned me when he found out about the abuse, blaming me for bringing shame upon our family."

✨ Let’s raise awareness about GBV in all its forms and create a society where everyone feels safe and respected.

Important Hotlines for Prevention and Support:

- 7711 (Ethiopian Women Lawyers Association): Legal counseling.
- 8044 (Marie Stopes): Reproductive health and family planning support.
