Notice for Application for Exchange / Visiting Students
(Ajou University in Korea)

1. Program Overview
• Exchange Program
o Students pay tuition to AUT and study at Ajou University in Korea. This program offers the opportunity to experience both academic courses and cultural life in Korea.
• Visiting Program
o Students pay 50% of the tuition fee to Ajou University and study in Korea. This program provides the same academic and cultural experiences as the Exchange Program.

1. Dispatch Period
   • 1 semester (March to June 2025)
   o The period is fixed and cannot be extended.

2. Eligibility
   A. Academic Requirements
   • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
   B. Language Proficiency
   • Applicants must have a language certificate in either Korean or English:
   o Korean: TOPIK Level 2 or higher.
   o English: IELTS 5.5 or higher, with a minimum score of 5.5 in both the reading and listening sections.
   C. Department & Year Eligibility
   • Architecture: 3rd-year students (admitted to AUT in September 2022).
   • Civil System Engineering: 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year students (admitted to AUT in September 2021, 2022, 2023).
   • Electrical Computer Engineering: 2nd and 3rd-year students (admitted to AUT in September 2022, 2023).
   D. Financial Proof Requirements
   • Applicants must provide proof of financial stability (parental or personal) depending on their occupation:
   o For Business Owners:
    Business registration certificate.
    Company sales statement and bank balance certificate.
    Tax payment records.
   o For Employees:
    Employer's business registration certificate.
    Employment certificate (Labor book) and salary statement (issued by my.gov.uz).
   o For Agricultural or Other Occupations:
    Land and real estate registration documents (issued by my.gov.uz).
    Vehicle (including heavy equipment) registration certificates.
   • Balance Certificate: A minimum of $8,000 must be held in a KDB bank account for at least 1 month.
   E. ETC
   • Government Scholarship Students are eligible to apply as exchange students but not as visiting students.

3. Available Positions
   • Exchange students: 6 positions (2 per department)
   • Visiting students: Up to 3 positions

4. Selection Process
   • Selection will be conducted by the selection committee.

5. Selection Criteria
   • Comprehensive evaluation of grades, attitude, and potential for growth.

6. Costs
   • Exchange Students:
   o No tuition fee at Ajou University (covered by AUT).
   o Students are responsible for airfare, insurance, accommodation, and living expenses.
   o Daewoo Educational Foundation may provide partial scholarships (details pending).
   • Visiting Students:
   o Students must pay for tuition, airfare, insurance, accommodation, and living expenses.
   o Estimated costs: Cost can be different yearly.

   - Dormitory around $ 1,100
