Shaykh ibn al-Uthaymeen رحمه الله mentioned:
⭐️** It gives the mujtahid the keys he needs in order to be able to understand evidences and derive rulings from them

⭐️ It is a science that branches out into other sciences and links to them. When you study Usul, you will see Arabic Grammar, Mustalah, knowledge of tarīkh, tafsir and more are needed

Shaykh Ahmad al-Saqoub mentions:
⭐️ The methods of deducing rulings are in agreement with the scholars who came before, because the methodology is one

قال الشيخ هيثم سرحان:

الأصابع وخاتم التسبيح والسبحة كلها وسائل لضبط العدد
المهم (يَاأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ ذِكْرًا كَثِيرًا)
ولا شك أن الأصابع أفضل
إنما المقصود أن ضبط العدد في الذكر ينشط المرء
وفيه تحقيق للفضل الوارد في بعض الأحاديث والأذكار.
