Natural farming - winter storage

We have a lot of harvest, so slowly we are preparing food for winter. Drying, canning, and storing. This year, for the first time, we will try to dry potatoes. And we were able to share some veggies with the people around us too! Slowly the big garden is getting established. We hope to give you an update video of the garden very soon! ❤️

Natural farming - update for the 600 m2 garden with water

We planted berries, grapes, cabbage, potatoes, tomatoes and sowed oats, chickpeas, lentils, artichokes, sunflowers, beets and onions. We noticed that the straw cover was not high enough and a lot of weeds were coming through. There are also weeds everywhere in the seed rows, even though we have not yet seen any seeds emerging. Before we sow and plant in the other beds, we will lay down a thicker layer of straw and make holes instead of rows.

Many potatoes have been somewhat damaged by the cold. Curious how they will continue to grow. At this time we see no difference between the traditional planting method and last year's potatoes with shoots that we did not plant but covered with straw inspired by Ruth Stout and our own laziness.

So interesting to see how this new garden is developing. A different location with different challenges.

Hello everyone! Today I wrote a text in English and it became a short children's story. Who wants to make illustrations for it? It's about how people manipulated nature little by little and are now returning through NF to working more with nature to produce their own food. ❤️

Living in line with nature - following nature’s curves

This time we are going to try something new. Instead of using our minds, we let natures form decide. We found a branch from a tree, and will build the outdoor sink and worktop around it. So curious if it will work out. ? #naturalbuilding #creativity #outdoorliving #inlinewithnature

Can you imagine a life where you are not thinking about money all the time? Where it becomes a tool to do good for your local community? It has its place, but connections with people and (creative) projects you would like to be involved in, are the most important?

With the current inflations, rising prices and many other things happening in our society, it is worth asking ourselves if we still want to be part of this system or choose something different. It is likely, that in the future many things will be not affordable or available any more and we will have to be creative to even provide in our basic needs.

Although this might sound scary, we do have a solution for this; a life where human interactions come back to the foreground. We break free from an abusive system and start to make different decisions. We start to become more independent and realise that many things we thought were ‘normal’ actually aren’t.
