"It's always the darkest just before dawn..."

I couldn’t help but equate the storm that came this morning,after a beautiful (smoky) day yesterday, w/ what has been going on in the last few years.

As my mind pondered how quickly all of our lives changed.
I thought about what I do know now vs what I thought I knew.

Everyone’s lives were interrupted in the last few years.
There is deception, fear, control, lies.. & so much more bubbling to the surface.
Things too horrific to even think about.

I often wonder why God chose me to know these things, & yet some of my own family can’t see any of it.“It baffles me Lord.”

Does anybody know what is really going on in Ukraine & Russia? Israel and the rest of the world?
We hear & see so much,but yet what do we really know outside of what we are being told?We hear this is going on, & that is going on but what do we really know?
“I don’t understand any of it Lord, it is confusing!”

“Since when do you feel the need to understand everything before you can trust me?”He said.

I already knew the answer to that question.
So the Lord asked me;“What do you know now that you didn’t know before?

I went through the list in my mind.

“Look how much you are aware of today that you didn’t know before.”

I am aware, I am paying attention now whereas before I was in my own little world doing life like everyone else. I didn’t realize how naive I was trusting institutions, organizations, health & education system, the news.. etc.Until you notice things aren’t adding up.Or you were minding your own business doing some devotions & God points out something to you & says,“Pay attention to this.”

I started to question everything I thought was good.And, when I mentioned it to someone, they told me,“You need a straight jacket.”

I told the Lord, “I don’t know how this is all going to play out, but I do know this…I trust you! Your ways are not my ways, You thoughts are higher than my thoughts.I don’t need to know everything, or understand everything before I trust you.

You chose Moses, who had a life of luxury in pharaohs palace & yet he saw how the treatment of his people were oppressed. Lord, You moved his heart against the evil he witnessed, & the unrighteousness he experienced. You chose him for a purpose. And, now Lord, bc he heard Your voice he led the people out of bondage from Egypt.”

I saw the parallel. Who am I to say God cannot choose whomever He wants. Could it be, our world is on the cusp of the greatest harvest of souls the world has ever seen prior to His return to gather us up?

We are in a terrible spot w/ Trudeau at the helm of our country, but this is where the metal of our armor is tested. God is testing us for sure.

We must remember God is a God of opposites. He chooses the most unlikely people. He chooses deeply flawed people, checkered past people, those who are despised, & maybe even people who are rough around the edges.
Remember how the apostle Paul was chosen, & the disciples were like “No way, you’ve got to be kidding.”
We must allow God to be original w/ others as He was with each of us. God still uses us despite our flaws.

It may seem very dark right now, but those who put the complete trust in God will outshine others, & that Light will be the truth that covers the earth. I believe we are in the midst of a great harvest as we speak.

The days are evil, & the enemies job is to create doubt, fear & confusion. We were warned of this time. This is the time for bold & courageous lions not timid sheep in denial.
God will use each one of us in this battle & we will be there just at the right time. We place our trust in Christ, we need not fear, we keep praying & do not give up!

I also believe staying in God’s Word keeps the fear & anxiety away. It also keeps us grounded in Him, not man.

"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever & ever. Amen."

There are so many who still don't know the peace and security of Jesus Christ & desperate for it that they will believe anything that tickles ears.

Satan wants your soul, he's working overtime, around the clock" to get it. If it means he offers false hope, he'll give it to you all day long, "we are winning, trust the plan".

Even before God annointed King Saul, God was never enough. The people were blind, and even today they search desperately for a Saviour, but refuse to see we have one, Jesus Christ.

The book of Revelation is very clear, it says that lawlessness and chaos will increase and only get worse until Christ returns. So why fool yourself with preserving this life? A life that always ends in death?

Why not put your faith in God?

“Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown” Rev 3:10-11?

Father God,

I thank You that You are compassionate, merciful and faithful in Your love for me.

I thank you that You know every thread of every thought I have.

You care deeply when I hurt and You care deeply when I am joyful.

Help me to come to you in prayer, with all my worries, pain and anxiety and trade them for Your peace that passes all understanding.

Help me to come to You with all of my joyful moments and rejoice.

Acts 13:36 reminds us of a sobering reality: "For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:"

Someday, our flesh will fail and our bodies will be laid to rest. We only have one life to make a difference, and only what we do for God will make an eternal difference.

This reality puts everything in perspective; perhaps this is why Moses said, "So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom" (Psalm 90:12).

As I look around, it's overwhelming at times.
- The evil.
- The anti-God.
- Those bent on destroying us.
- The mockery of everything good.
- Those who are so excited about the Super Bowl and Taylor whats-her-name, but have no idea what is actually going on in our Country.

And then I remember that while there truly is a battle raging between good and evil, God has already won the war. Today, we fight not to achieve victory, but from a position of victory. Through Christ, the victory has already been won, and God has called us to tell others about Him and stand for the truth with our very lives.

So today, with all we have in the time we have left, may our ultimate goal be to serve God in our generation.

Keep serving God.
Keep standing together.
Keep fighting the forces of evil.
