Is it permissible to combine the niyyah (intention) of fasting on the ninth day, the day of Ashura and a qada (compensatory) fast?

? Answer:
The majority of people of knowledge are against combining the two intentions of qada and Ashura, which is the strongest opinion because one should be cautious about his religion and fast and not combine between intentions but single the intention either for qada or Ashura.

• From the Fiqh of Supplication •

A believer should allocate the largest portion of his du’a for the Hereafter.

One of the subtle deceptions of Satan, especially in these blessed days, is to make a person:
Turn to Allah with a heart full of worldly needs that they hope Allah will fulfil.

There is no harm if a person asks Allah for worldly needs, for we have no one except Him. However, the mistake lies in these needs being (dominant) in one's heart and prioritised over the needs of the Hereafter.

The fundamental principle is to attain the greatest goal of the Hereafter, which is:
(obtaining forgiveness).

Whoever meets Allah with their sins forgiven will experience an eternal happiness that knows no misery.

Our Lord, Exalted is He, said:
“Then, whoever is spared the Fire and is admitted to Paradise has indeed been successful. The life of this world is merely an illusory enjoyment” [Quran 3:185]

O Allah, by Your might, majesty, generosity, and kindness, make us among those who are saved from the Fire and admitted to Paradise in peace.

One of the greatest and easiest acts of worship is the remembrance of Allah.

Al-Tirmidhi mentioned in his Jami’i from Al-Zuhriy that he said:
“one Tasbiha during Ramadan is better than a thousand Tasbiha outside Ramadan”

You should remind him. Likewise, if you witness someone who overslept during the time of prayer, you don't say 'he is asleep, therefore he is excused and I don't wake him up and remind him to pray’. Rather, you should remind him.

The issue of covering a woman’s feet during prayer is of different opinions: the majority of scholars are of the opinion that it is obligatory to cover the feet, while the Hanafis and Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah chose the opinion that it is not obligatory.

But the most correct opinion is the opinion of the majority of scholars

?Sayings of the Salaf ?

Ibn al-Qayyim narrated on the authority of his Sheikh Ibn Taymiyyah in Zad al-Ma’ad (57/1) about the history of the night of the Isra’ and Mi’raj that he said:
“No known evidence has been established. Neither concerning its month or which part of the month it was in nor its specific date. Rather, the narrations about it have been narrated are with discontinuous chains of narrations or confliction and thus none of them can be affirmed with certainty.”

I say:
Celebrating what they call the anniversary of Al-Isra (the Night Journey) and Al-Mi’raj (the Ascension to the Heavens) is among the innovations that have no basis.
A fundamental principle (in Islam) states that: «The fundamental principle (asl) concerning worship is prohibition» (except if the Shari’ah relates a prescription for it.)
The more this principle is overlooked and deviated from, the more the misguidance.

Oh Allah, make us follow the path and guidance of our Prophet ﷺ

Not straightening the rows

- Response:
The rows must be straightened, as the Prophet ﷺ said, narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim:
“Indeed straightening the rows is part of the perfection of the prayer.”

And the Prophet ﷺ said: “Make your rows straight or Allah will cause discord among you.”

It is considered as a participation in celebrating that God has a son, despite not believing in it.
