In short:

If the situation we are dealing with is apocalyptic, then it makes a lot of sense to move, and to move soon, no matter how difficult it is, no matter how many adjustments you have to make.

But if the situation is not apocalyptic, and the only real concerns are regarding convenience, then there's no reason to bother moving at all.

The only thing that makes no sense, is to sit on the fence and remain undecided.

A lot of people seem to be very interested in moving from America to Russia. This is understandable and commendable.

A lot of these same people also seem to be on the fence about moving to Russia, because it is "hard". For example: "It's hard to learn a new language". "It's hard to restart my career, and support my family by teaching English." "It's hard to move into a smaller house, and get accustomed to a lower income."

This sort of "fence sitting" tells me that a lot of people have forgotten the central reasons for moving at all. I mean, if the future of America and Russia are both great, and it's just a matter of picking what is most convenient for you, then stay where you are! Why move?

But if the judgment of God is hanging over America as a nation that is in utter rebellion against Him, and the future of America is pain, suffering, persecution, and destruction, then what are you waiting for? Get out of Sodom before the fire falls, while you still have a shirt on your back! Why wait until the situation is so dire that you have to drop everything and leave in utter urgency and poverty, if they allow you to leave at all?

In the Russian Empire, prior to the revolution, when a person of any nationality or ethnicity became an Orthodox Christian, he/she was considered to be "Russkiy"/"Russkaya". So being Russian in the historical sense was deeply tied with being an Orthodox Christian. He said to me, "You are more Russian than most people who live in Russia, because you are Orthodox." I will never forget that. His words really touched my heart.

⭐️ The Main Directorate for Migration Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia informs about the possibility of a foreign citizen to independently register for migration purposes (register at the place of stay) provided that he/she personally presents to the internal affairs agency (or authorized organization) a lease agreement signed by the owner of the residential premises (Part 3.5 of Article 22 of the Federal Law of July 18, 2006 No. 109-FZ).

When a foreign citizen applies with the original residential lease agreement, he will receive a confirmation document - a tear-off coupon-notification of registration for migration purposes.

When concluding an employment contract for the applicant and his family members, migration registration is carried out for the entire family.

At the All-Russian meeting of heads of departments on migration issues, held in Moscow on September 11-13, 2024, this law enforcement practice was highly praised in terms of combating fictitious migration registration, including for the purpose of combating "rubber apartments". A decision was made to scale it up and use it more widely in all regions of Russia.

📃 The owner of the residential premises has the right to remove a foreign citizen from the register upon his departure, and also to inform the Internal Affairs Department of the invalidity (termination) of the lease agreement.
