‎A Warning Against the Jāhil Bahāʾ ad-Dīn an-Nāsirī

‎Bahāʾ ad-Dīn an-Nāsirī ash-Shāmī says in a recent speech that he does not testify the Islām of the people even if they pray and utter the Shahādah unless they make their Īmān public, repeating the speech of the Khawārij al-Akhnasiyyah:

‎الأخنسية يتوقفون عن جميع من في دار التقية من منتحلي الإسلام وأهل القبلة إلا من قد عرفوا منه إيمانا

‎“The Akhnasiyyah refrain from passing judgment on all those in the land of Taqiyyah (Dār al-Kufr) who profess Islām and are among the people of the Qiblah, except for those whom they know for having Īmān”

May Allāh have mercy upon Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah who said:

يجوز للرجل أن يصلي الصلوات الخمس والجمعة وغير ذلك خلف من لم يعلم منه بدعة ولا فسقا باتفاق الأئمة الأربعة وغيرهم من أئمة المسلمين. وليس من شرط الائتمام أن يعلم المأموم اعتقاد إمامه ولا أن يمتحنه فيقول: ماذا تعتقد؟ بل يصلي خلف مستور الحال.

"A man is permitted to perform the five daily prayers, the Friday prayer, and other prayers behind someone from whom no Bidʿah or Fisq is known, by consensus of the four Imāms and other Muslim leaders. It is not a condition for the follower to know the beliefs of the Imām or to test him by asking: “What do you believe?” Rather, he may pray behind someone whose condition is not known."

‎He publicly states that the signs of Islām are not sufficient for someone to be judged as a Muslim, thereby contradicting the Ijmāʿ of the Salaf.

In the same speech he seems to be ignorant of the meaning of the word “Asl” because he claims that the statement “the Asl is Islām” means that everyone is a Muslim even if we see him committing Kufr. Likewise he states that the statement “the Asl is Kufr” means that there is no Muslim among them which shows that he lacks knowledge regarding the terminologies because the term Asl does not negate any exceptions, as Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah explains in Majmūʿ al-Fatāwā 31/165 onwards.

‎He is trying to create two extremes in order to make his opinion seem like the path of the middle but he shows his ignorance while trying to do so and Allāh knows best about his affairs.

Er wurde entlassen, da die Behörden die Kosten für die Behandlung nicht tragen möchten. Die Behandlungskosten belaufen sich auf ca. 60.000 Euro. Zudem ist seine Familie auf sich allein gestellt und erhält keine finanzielle Unterstützung. Sie haben kaum Geld, um Lebensmittel oder andere lebensnotwendige Dinge zu kaufen. Als die Mihna von Imām Ahmad ibn Hanbal rahimahullāh und die Folterungen und Schläge begannen, schrieben die beiden Töchter von 'Āsim ibn 'Alī an ihren Vater in Wāsit:

Vater, wir haben gehört, dass der Mann, der Imām Ahmad verhaftet hat, ihn gepeitscht hat, damit er sagt, dass der Qur'ān Makhlūq (erschaffen) ist. Fürchte Allāh und antworte ihm nicht, wenn er dich fragt. Bei Allāh, wenn wir von deinem Tod hören würden, wäre es uns lieber, als dass (wir hören, dass) du das gesagt hast (dass der Qur'ān makhlūq ist, was Kufr ist).
