OPINION PIECE: Do you believe in Democracy. If you do you also believe in transparency because transparency underpins democracy. Without transparency you have a pseudo democracy, a fake or pretend democracy.

At the very heart of the European Union there is comeout.eu, an organisation that is involved in LGBQT advocacy and funded by the EU to the tune of€3•5 million. Their modus operandi is to encourage EU parliamentarians and those seeking election to the EU to sign a pledge that commits them to ‘defending and advancing the human rights of LGBTI people’. The I in LGBTI refers to ‘intersex’, a genuine medical condition where a baby is born with ambiguous genitalia and this is surgically corrected as soon as possible when the baby is assigned a definitive sex. There inclusion in LGBTI is a grotesque attempt by homosexual lobbyists to conflate a genuine but extremely rare medical condition with the abnormality of a homosexual lifestyle choice.

The pledge that parliamentarians are encouraged to sign has all the usual components that one would expect of such a pledge, promoting the LGBQT agenda, advocating for laws and policies that ‘provides explicit protection’ for homosexual people etc. But there is also something new and sinister in the pledge, there is an attempt to suppress transparency. The pledge states that in order to uphold the commitments of the pledge those who sign will keep their ‘work out of the public eye whenever necessary’. This secrecy is justified as ‘putting the safety of the community above any other concerns’. There is no evidence offered that there are safety concerns. I would interpret this secrecy as a simply strategic matter that allows those who sign to be able to work behind the scenes undermining traditional values without scrutiny, accountability or transparency.

Sixteen Irish EU candidates signed the pledge. They did not have to, they choose to. They also have chosen to be secretive about promoting the LGBTQT agenda, about being economical with the truth. This allows them to speak publicly on other issues eg farming and to be privately advancing a homosexual agenda without publicly admitting to it.

Interestingly when you go through the process of signing it becomes apparent that this is about much more than LGBQT issues. Comeout.eu reserves the right to decline your signature without explanation if your view don’t lineup with their views on a range of other issues including migration, and what they describe as ‘human dignity’. This is common in groups of the radical left, if you support them on one central issue you must also support their views on a wide range of other issues. So the homosexual who is against open borders doesn’t get a look in. It is all or nothing. The Irish EU candidates that signed up to this pledge have signed up to the full menu.

The homosexual lobbyists operating as comeout.eu are operating as a parliament within a parliament, a fifth column, a subgroup prepared to subvert democracy because if they were not they would be happy with transparency. Three high profile candidates that are expected to be returned have signed the pledge, a pledge to promote the homosexual agenda in secret, Luke Ming Flanagan, Barry Andrews and Regina Doherty. Obviously Green and the left candidates are fully on side. They are entitled to be private members of whatever they wish but to play at democracy while subverting it through secrecy strikes at the heart of true democracy and demeans all true democrats. This betrayal wasn’t identified until the day before polling so there wasn’t time to mobilise public opinion on the issue.

Secrecy epitomises the left and much of the centre. Censorship and suppression of facts go along with secrecy and it all leads to a lack of transparency, exactly what those who are afraid of democracy want. We must be vigilant against all organisations that subvert democracy by running a parallel undeclared agenda. That is another reason if indeed other reasons are needed to exit the EU and reclaim our sovereignty.

Register your objection on Friday the 7th of June by voting independent and refusing to vote or transfer to government parties or fake opposition parties. Support our seniors.
