Apparently the CRT Canal and River Trust (backed by the council = GovernMent) are restricting licences for the canal to favour holiday rentals and keep people off of the canal... Allegedly because "the locks are being used too often"

But my guess is it's because they want people in the 15 minute city paying rent and doing jobs

I also believe in Q2 2024 the Environment Agency (DEFRA) opened the Radial and Vertical Gates fully to drain the river up to the bridge in an attempt to capsize boats in that immediate area. This is just a theory.

DEFRA also has the power to spy on the internet activities of private individuals via the ISP (e.g.the company supplying your Internet Connection)
