Supreme Court orders a committee to repair ecological damage in Jim Corbett caused by illegal construction & tree felling.
Committee to also evaluate tiger safaris in national park buffer zones and establish guidelines.

Litigation against illegal tree felling & construction in Corbett Tiger Reserve's breeding habitat.
Advocate Gaurav Bansal highlighted unauthorized activities, prompting legal and governmental review.

🛑 Pakhrau Safari Concerns:
Supreme Court finds significant irregularities in Pakhrau Safari execution.
Unauthorized construction and illegal felling of over 6,000 trees noted.
Financial mismanagement with expenditure skyrocketing to Rs 102 crore from an approved Rs 28.81 crore.

🔍 Who's Responsible?
Mismanagement traced to the District Forest Officer and others.
Former Forest Minister Harak Singh Rawat identified as the main architect of the irregularities.

📜 SC's Recommendations:
Continuation of Pakhrau tiger safari approved, with emphasis on rehabilitating injured, conflicted, or orphaned tigers.

IFoS is a service which gives maximum return on your time and efforts invested. Being one of the all India services, along with IAS and IPS, it offers similar perks and facilities.

The main hurdle lies in clearing the prelims. But once you clear prelims, the optionals can be prepared within 2-3 months.

In order of preference, IFoS definitely comes before IRS, but with much easier and predictable exam. While getting under 200 rank for IAS/IPS is very luck dependent thing, clearing IFoS on other hand is mostly about being able to complete the mains paper in average manner.

Try to make the best use of the opportunity. Make sure you prepare well for Prelims and the rest of the stages is going to be a cake walk.
