Syrian anti-regime opposition fighter pictured with what is likely a AK74M 5.45x39mm assault rifle that was made by Izhmash in Russia.

This AK74M was likely produced in the late 1990s, & likely was obtained from Assad government forces via one way or another.

This particular fighter was/is allegedly part of a Turkish-backed group that was located in Northern Syria at the time this photo was taken in 2022.

This AK74M is feeding from a forty-five round RPK74 magazine, and is fitted with a 40mm GP30M under barrel grenade launcher.
