🌙Let's Get Ready for Ramadan🌙

Part 3

Follow the example of your Prophet ﷺ, for He used to get ready when Ramadan would come, not by foods and drinks, but by obedience and acts of worship, and by giving and generosity.

So, fear Allah and thank Him for bestowing on you the arrival of the month of fasting and performing more prayer.

And know that living to see Ramadan is a great endowment, and a big favor!

Intend firmly during this Ramadan to exert more effort into improving yourself, commit to learning and teaching, and prepare for your departure.

Part 2

*🔸The menstruating and post-partum bleeding women are not allowed to fast**, however they are obligated to make up the days they missed.

🔸They do not have to make them up immediately after ^Eid.
They can delay as long as they make them up before the next Ramadan comes.

🔸They can eat during the day while in menstruation or postpartum bleeding period.

However, if they abstain from food during the days of Ramadan during the menstruation period or post-partum bleeding without the intention of fasting, then they are not sinful.

Part 1

{ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ}
{أَيَّامًا مَّعْدُودَاتٍ فَمَن كَانَ مِنكُم مَّرِيضًا أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِّنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ وَعَلَى الَّذِينَ يُطِيقُونَهُ فِدْيَةٌ طَعَامُ مِسْكِينٍ فَمَن تَطَوَّعَ خَيْرًا فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّهُ وَأَن تَصُومُوا خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ}

▪️This Verse is a proof of the obligation of fasting; therefore, the one who denies this obligation has contradicted the Qur'an and whoever contradicts the Qur'aan is not a Muslim.

▪️In this Verse, it is stated that the sick person with an illness that makes it a hardship to fast is not sinful for not fasting, likewise is the traveler that travels with all the conditions fulfilled that the scholars mentioned.
Allah made it an obligation upon both of them to make up those days later.

▪️Also, one is not sinful to leave out fasting if one is unable to bear the fasting like the elderly person who is no longer capable of enduring the fasting and the permanently ill who is not able to fast with his illness.

Allah made it an obligation upon these two people, that is the elderly and the permanently ill, to pay a فِدية (expiation) which is to feed one poor person for every day of Ramadan.

?When the signs of her pregnancy became apparent, Maryam went away from her people. The pangs of birth led her to the trunk of a palm tree. Out of her shyness from the people, and fearing they would accuse her of having done something ugly, she wished she was dead and not a trace of her could be found.
?Angel Jibril called to her, comforting her.
He told her Allah made a small river run under her from which she could drink, and should she shake the trunk of the palm tree next to her, it would turn green and moist dates would fall down from which she could eat and be nourished. Jibril told her when she faces her people with her son to tell anyone who questions her about him that she had made a vow not to talk to any human for that day.

?When the people asked her, Allah made ^Isaa speak.
He said:
قَالَ إِنِّي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ آَتَانِيَ الْكِتَابَ وَجَعَلَنِي نَبِيًّا (30) وَجَعَلَنِي مُبَارَكًا أَيْنَ مَا كُنْتُ ‎وَأَوْصَانِي بِالصَّلَاةِ وَالزَّكَاةِ مَا دُمْتُ حَيًّا (31) وَبَرًّا بِوَالِدَتِي وَلَمْ يَجْعَلْنِي جَبَّارًا شَقِيًّا (32) وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيَّ يَوْمَ وُلِدْتُ وَيَوْمَ أَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ أُبْعَثُ حَيًّا (33)
which are verses 30-33 of Surat Maryam and mean: *[I am a slave of Allah. He will reveal the Book to me and make me a Prophet. He blessed me wherever I am. In the rules revealed to me there will be a special attention given to Prayers and Zakat. Allah predestined that I will be kind to my mother and not a tyrant with a bad ending. Peace was on me the day I was born. Peace will be on me on the day I will die and on the day I am raised alive again.]

The Meaning of at-Tashahhud
? The meaning of at-Tashahhud is:
“Allah owns all the blessed salutations, prayers, and the good deeds. O Prophet of Allah may the safety and the mercy of Allah and His blessing be upon you. May safety be upon us and upon the righteous slaves of Allah. I testify that no one is God but Allah, and I testify that MuHammad is the Messenger of Allah.”

The Meaning of al-Fatihah
The meaning of al-Fatihah is:
? “I start my recitation with the Name of Allah, Who is ar-RaHman and ar-RaHim.
? Praise and thanks to Allah, the Owner (Rabb) of the humans and jinn, for the endowments He granted without Him being obligated to do so.
? Allah is ar-RaHman and ar-RaHim.
? Allah is the Owner of the Day of Judgment.
? To You (Allah) only we dedicate worship, and from You (Allah) we seek help.
? Keep us guided (firmly) on the Straight Path (Islam).
? The Path of those upon whom You bestowed guidance—not the path of those whom You willed to punish, or the path of those who went astray.”

Cleaning After Using the Bathroom
? After urinating, and when the urine completely stops, the person cleans himself by wiping the eliminatory outlet with tissue or the like.
? Then he pours water on the outlet. If the najas-filth is removed such that no color, taste, or odor remains, then the outlet becomes pure.
? Similarly, after defecating, one wipes the eliminatory outlet with tissue or the like.
? Then he pours water with his right hand on the outlet, rubbing it with his left hand.
? If the najas-filth is removed such that no color, taste, or odor remains, then the outlet becomes pure.
? One could use water only, and, in some cases, tissue only to remove najas-filth, however using both as mentioned before is better.
