The Climate, Energy, and Risk Analytics Lab (CERA) led by Dr. Yuki Miura has 1-2 PhD positions available at New York University (NYU), starting Spring or Fall 2025. The position is fully funded. 
The successful candidate will be working on identifying climate risks such as flood and heatwave impacts using data-driven approaches.

I am currently recruiting multiple PhD students to join my research group in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Florida State University. Our work focuses on water quality modeling, urban hydrology, stormwater management, and assessing the impacts of climate change on hydrology and water quality.

Funding is available through National Science Foundation (NSF), US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and Tampa Bay Estuary Program.

Prof. Carlo de Michele from Politecnico di Mialno, Italy, will join us in this session as an outstanding professional scientist convener, as you know his major is multivariate analysis of natural hazards and compound events.

Our session, titled “Cause and effect of compound events (multi-hazards), especially under climate change”. Which, in brief description, focuses on:

**• Cause and effect of multi-hazards (like floods, droughts, hurricanes, extremes wind and precipitation, crop failure yields, etc.) at past, present and future.

• How can upgrade the traditional (numerical or statistical) modelling of multi-hazards under climate change

• Multi-hazards risk assessments

• Impact of multi- hazards on the environment

• Synchronization and teleconnection in multi-Hazards analysis

• Human activity effect on multi-hazards
• Any other related research using, AI, Machin learning, prediction and so on in natural hazards analysis which considering them as compound events,
