Hibernating wallets may put pressure on bitcoin

CryptoQuant notes that wallets that have been in hibernation for several years may increase the pressure.

Analysts recorded a redistribution of bitcoins between cold addresses that have been dormant for 3 to 7 years.

The first batch amounted to 16,011 BTC and the second batch amounted to 14,558 BTC.

These funds are currently in OTC storage and do not pose a reset risk yet, however, analysts at CryptoQuant suggest that some of them may come to exchanges for another reset.

The pressure could be short-term, but quite painful.

In the meantime, bitcoin is showing slight growth and is holding above $65,000, perhaps this time it will be able to stay above this mark.

The Bank for International Settlements has authorized the world’s central banks to store up to 2% of their capital in cryptocurrency.
However, there is a nuance: The minimum collateral reserve for crypto is 1,250%. That is, if a bank wants to invest $10,000 in BTC, it needs to provide them with an additional $125,000 in reserves.

Nevertheless, this is awesome news for the mass adoption of cryptocurrencies because banks will now be able to officially own digital assets.
