Meanwhile, guarantors of the Astana agreement (Russia, Turkey, Iran) met in Doha to discuss the rapidly changing situation in Syria. Russian FM Lavrov affirmed support for Syria and called for implementation of UN Resolution 2254, stating that what is happening in Palestine and Syria is called by US policy and insistence on hegemony.
