Ai-Da, a humanoid robot artist, just sold its portrait of computer science legend Alan Turing for $1.3M at Sotheby’s Auction House, marking a major milestone for AI art.

Titled the “AI God,” the painting sparked intense bidding with 27 offers, pushing the final price to nearly 10 times its original estimate. Ai-Da used cameras in her eyes and robotic arms to create the portrait, merging traditional art with advanced AI techniques.
