Every step forward, no matter how small, leads to remarkable growth.

If there’s one thing that Ramadan shows us is that we have the choice.

You have the choice to be more consistent with your acts of worship, to have the discipline to deprive yourself from these worldly pleasures, to build tawakkul and ask for the impossible in du’a, to work hard to be successful both in this dunya and the akhirah, to choose kindness and respect instead of envy and bitterness.

It is to easy to blame others and Sheytan or to question Allah whenever things don’t go your way. Remember that your nafs is your worst enemy, and while Allah has written your fate, He also took into consideration your free will, intentions and prayers. He gave you the choice.

“Fasting is not only abstaining from eating and drinking. When you fast, your tongue must abstain from speaking lies, your hands and limbs must abstain from doing evil, your ears must abstain from listening to slander and gossip, and your eyes must abstain from seeing obscenity.” (Imam Ali)

Weak men create masculine women and strong men create feminine women. Like not by force but simply loving well and leading well.
