A 46-year-old woman has been complaining of fatigue, anorexia, and pallor for the last 3 months.
Her medical records are of insignificance.
On examination, the physician notices mucosal petechia in the mouth. Besides, breast examination is remarkable for a mass localized to the central portion of the right breast.
Peripheral blood smears display misshapen red blood cells, immature nucleated res blood cells and granulocytes (medically referred to as leukoerythroblastosis).
With investigations performed, the patient has been diagnosed with a breast cancer with metastasis to the cerebrospinal fluid, uterus, and bone marrow.
