كتاب الإيمان لأبي عُبيد القاسم بن سلام

١) _بَابُ نَعْتِ الْإِيمَانِ فِي اسْتِكْمَالِهِ وَدَرَجَاتِهِ

إمام أهل السُّنَّة والجمَاعة أبو عُبيد القاسم بن سلام  « ࢪحمه الله وأسكنه فسيح جنانه »

The Imām of Ahlussunnah wal Jamā'ah, Abū 'Ubayd al Qāsim bin Sallām «May Allah have mercy on him»

" For whosoever will try to save his (wordly) life shall lose it; and whosoever will lose his life for God's Cause shall find it."
[Matthew:16:25[

{ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱسۡتَجِيبُواْ لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمۡ لِمَا يُحۡيِيكُمۡۖ وَٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَحُولُ بَيۡنَ ٱلۡمَرۡءِ وَقَلۡبِهِۦ وَأَنَّهُۥٓ إِلَيۡهِ تُحۡشَرُونَ }
[Surah Al-Anfâl: 24]

O you who believe!

Answer Allah and His Messenger when he  calls you to THAT WHICH GIVES YOU LIFE, and know that Allah comes in between a person and his heart.

And verily to Him you shall (all) be gathered.

{ وَلَا تَحۡسَبَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ قُتِلُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ أَمۡوَٰتَۢاۚ بَلۡ أَحۡيَآءٌ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡ يُرۡزَقُونَ }
[Surah Âl-`Imrân: 169]

Think not of those who are killed in the Cause of Allah as dead.

Nay, THEY ARE ALIVE, with their Lord, and they have provision.

{ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فَتَعۡسٗا لَّهُمۡ وَأَضَلَّ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ }

[Surah Muhammad: 8]

Those who disbelieve, for them is destruction, and (Allah) will make their deeds vain.

{ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ كَرِهُواْ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأَحۡبَطَ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ }

[Surah Muhammad: 9]

That is because they hate that which Allah has revealed, so He has made their deeds fruitless.
