Dear AndroidIDE Community,

It has been an amazing journey working with all of you on the AndroidIDE project. I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with amazing individuals, exchanging ideas, and learning along the way. However, after much thought, I’ve decided to step down as the maintainer of the project.

This decision comes as I now have other important priorities that require my focus. I've decided to step back, but I remain passionate about the project's potential, and I would love to support anyone who is interested in taking it forward. If you’re interested in continuing the development or contributing more actively, feel free to reach out, and I’ll be happy to assist in any way I can.

There won't be a v2.7.2-beta release.

The next release will be v2.8.0-beta with some interesting updates :

- Memory optimisations.
- An (experimental) Indexing API & implementation (for Java libraries at least).
- Java 21 support in the editor.
- An improved implementation for handling file save operations (with automatic file saves).

May the tricolor always fly high, symbolising the strength and unity of our great nation.
