Hi all, so basically the situation is that currently I am planning to begin building my house, I have a land already. I also hold crypto and seeing what happens in the world I would want to allocate something to crypto every month from my salary. Thing is I plan to build the house without any mortgage etc. so the more I save money each month, the faster and more I can build stuff. Should I just keep saving money (which sounds dumb) or try to DCA in to crypto with at leas some money each month (my current plan) or just buy as much as I can and then just sell when I need fiat for house (which is risky as we can go down even more)Thanks submitted by /u/ghorio-fuitton

I think we're getting close enough to the bottom now that it makes sense to slowly pick up DCA'ing again. Here are my 5 winter sale picks and why:(I'm excluding BTC and ETH, which are still my two favs)Cronos: BNB was one of the strongest (probably the strongest?) crypto between 2017's ATH and 2020. I think CRO has the potential to be similarly resilient, but has way more room to grow than BNB.Algorand: The (relatively) drama-free next gen blockchain, works nicely and has always been undervalued in my opinion. At least compared to clownish Solana.Coinbase stock: Completely different risk/reward ratio (my most conservative bet), but a good way to diversify across cryptos, DeFi, and the NFT market.IOTA: I want to believe.WAX: Definitely my biggest gamble, but also seems undervalued compared to its competition. WAX is huge in crypto collectibles and has a large, active eco system, but isn't even a Top 100 token. Doesn't make sense in my opinion. So, what are yours? And feel free to roast me ofc. submitted by /u/1corn

Sometimes as human beings curiosity gain the upper hand. You read about people trading with leverage. They either gain tremendous amount of money or get wrecked just as fast.I too became curious abour it. And i started with a small amount of only 15 dollars on one of the exchanges. The rush you get when you trade with a x10 leverage is very real. After a couple of trades i felt like i was getting the hang of the curves, downfalls and motion of the graphs. I started to close my position after every 1 to 2 dollars profit to make sure i gained slowly overtime. I actually went from 15 to 40 dollars in the space of several trades. But theres a problem, the mind always wants more. Dont we all get greedy when we see the potential of earning money "for free".And there i had it. My first liquidation. All my hard work timing my trades, gaining the 1 to 2 dollars per trade all evaporated with one wrong bet. I started my position with 15 dollars, risen to 40. But all gone in one swell swoop. My TDLR: if your really interested in leverage trading, start small. But my advice? Dont even do it, because greed will eventually take over. And instead of losing a small amount like i did, you could well lose 1000's of dollar/euro/ whatever other currency because of it.My best bet? Take profit when you see a high rise, buy back when it drops. That is my preffered way of making profits. This is not financial advice, rather an experience to make people aware of the downfalls of leverage trading. submitted by /u/di0reflect

I've been watching the BTC price since 2011, and I have never seen BTC in such a narrow range for such a long time. For close to 1 month now, it has been in the exact range of [$29,000, $31,000]. Which is almost exactly half the all-time high.Has it ever traded in such a narrow range for so long since 2011? This behavior seems algorithmic. Right at $30k. Not too far below, not too far above. submitted by /u/tedsmith431

Lately I have been reading many posts (here and on other subs and websites) saying that crypto is useless and it has no real world usecase and that it's all worth nothing, honestly I started thinking about it for a while, I kept asking myself "Is this stuff really the future" "is it worth anything" "maybe it's just useless shit built on hype".I did not sell any of my coins but I kept thinking everyday and seeing this posts made me think more and more untill this happend. Today my mom asked me about crypto and she wanted me to explain it, it told here all the stuff about how it's an open network where everyone can participate and how defi is accessible to everyone and you can be your own bank, she really liked the idea and seeked to invest. After that interaction I thought of what I told her and it got me thinking again, why did those posts make me skeptical, the idea of the technology is amazing. An open network where there are no intermediaries, where there are no limits to who you can interact with and as the the Ethereum.org website says "A Fairer Financial System".I am not suggesting that you should blindly invest in crypto or lock yourself in an ecochamber of pro crypto information but rather think, think of the main idea of crypto, read other viewpoints and analyze the space. In the end crypto isn't a religion it's a technology and you choose weather you think it's a good invention or not. This is not hopium, it's just what I have been thinking.Thank you for reading my postHave a nice day! submitted by /u/hashzzz

With the collapse of Luna and Safemoon which seem to have, in some way, been designed as ponzi/rugpulls. What are some other relatively popular cryptocurrencies that you believe full into this category (and why)?It seems that many in the crypto community were unaware of Luna’s potential to fail. A recent video by CoffeeZilla explained it all succinctly should anyone be interested, but I had been seeing people in the crypto space gunning for Luna. Doesn’t a 20% return seem too good to be true though? submitted by /u/troopski

No matter the fear or greed the market shows us I believe Bitcoin will last forever. This is a real Decentralized financial system and every single one of us has brought this to life and made our dreams a reality. No bank, third-party, or institution can take our money from us. Once you learn the basics of ₿itcoin payments it is very simple to use worldwide with the touch of a button. The price doesn't always reflect the value of this asset as a lot of people use it as a currency and not an investment, but remember... there will only ever be 21 million ₿itcoins. Good luck and Godspeed brothers and sisters. We will all make it to the top. submitted by /u/No-Marzipan-7039
