Nothing forbidden in this world will comfort you like

- Knowing + loving Allāh
- Salāh
- Qur'an
- Someone making du'a for you
- Love from your mother

The way you speak to your children will be the way they speak to themselves, eachother and others.

That's a great responsibility. Remember that the next time you feel triggered.

The most powerful form of self-care is obeying Allāh and adhering to the religion.

Muslimah, transform your life in the next 7 days:

1. Wake up early, pray & stay up after fajr.
2. Drink honey mixed with water on an empty stomach.
3. Read Qur'an everyday, without fail.
4. Remember the morning & evening adhkar.
5. Exercise 30 minutes per day.
6. Replace social media with gaining 'ilm.

Your children don't need a mum who:

• Is never emotional
• Cleans all the time
• Does everything for them
• Doesn't rest

They need a mum who:

• Shows how to regulate emotions
• Is present & intentional
• Encourages independence
• Takes care of herself too

It's not easy, but it's essential.

I didn't learn homemaking skills growing up. And my idea of feminity was...

Well that's a story for another time.

But I–in my youthful ignorance–thought I knew what I was doing (spoiler alert: I had no clue).

I barely knew how to cook, tidy a room or organise my time. It was a struggle for me.

Now, by the Grace of Allāh I can:

●organise my time as a busy mother
●and tidy a room in 5 minutes with ease (on most days).
