In small communities this is especially clear. There is hardly any alternative for young people who want to get ahead in life. Either you join the already existing youth associations that tend to disturb road users and sometimes play loud music. Or the world of computer games beckons with the internet-based community.

Unfortunately, none of these "activities" have promoted the health and well-being of young people. Sedentaryism is a pandemic that makes the Covid hysteria pale in comparison. They sit and eat sugar and junk since childhood. Unfortunately, this often results in obesity and mental suffering for many young people today. These young people not infrequently end up deeper in bad behavior with an early onset of alcohol consumption or drugs, or more and more hours in front of the computer and a general antisocial behavior.

What does the municipality do? This body of power that will ensure that today's youth have the opportunity for a good life?
Nothing out of the ordinary.

The municipality has paid little attention to introducing more sports lessons in school. Little has been done by the municipality to inspire the youth to movement. Sure, a few simple outdoor gyms here and there. But the problem with sitting still is deeper than that. Where are all the subsidized gym cards for school kids during the summer holidays? Where are the municipal alternatives to counter obesity and all the problems it entails? Instead, it is the demolition hysteria of the coffee-stomached politicians in the municipal hall that attracts. Not the health of the municipality's young people.

It is said that we are heading for tougher economic times. We understand if young people cannot afford to go to one of the big gyms in the municipality. Therefore, at Gym XIV, we want to offer the municipality's school youth to train completely free of charge, with no commitment period and get the help they need to get started with training. We also do not want to burden families with children with expensive fees, but see the value in a healthier population in the municipality.
