**_طريقة اليدين: تتطلب استخدام كلتا اليدين، لذا قد تحتاج لمساعدة شخص آخر:

تُوضع الإبهام على جانبي القناع.

تُوضع السبابة أسفل زوايا الفك لرفع الفك وإطالة الرأس.

في حال وجود تسرب، يمكن للطبيب الضغط على القناع باستخدام ذقنه لزيادة الإحكام.

Two-handed method: Requires the use of both hands, so you may need help from another person:

Place your thumbs on either side of the mask.

Place your index fingers under the corners of your jaw to lift your jaw and elongate your head.

If there is a leak, your doctor can press on the mask with his or her chin to increase the seal.Two hand method.
تستخدم طريقه ثانيه مع مرضى الي يعانون من السمنة مفرطه أو نطينا تخدير وممخلين تيوب ومدانسيطر بأيد وحده ف نستخدم هذه طريقة.

Another method is used with patients who suffer from extreme obesity or who are given anesthesia and do not have a tube and are not controlled with one hand, so we use this method.**

طريقة يد الواحده:يتم وضع أصبع الإبهام والسبابه لليد اليسرى على جسم القناع على جانبي الموصل ,أدفع للأسفل لمنع تسرب

يتم وضع الاصابع ثلاثه المتبقية على فك السفلي بحيث يتم تطبيق الأصبع الأوسط على المنتوم ,وإصبع البنصر على جسم الفك السفلي والإصبع الصغير بزاوية الفك السفلي لإعطاء الفك من الأمام.

Mask application methods

One hand method: Place the thumb and index finger of the left hand on the body of the mask on both sides of the connector, push down to prevent leakage

The remaining three fingers are placed on the lower jaw so that the middle finger is applied to the mantome, the ring finger on the body of the lower jaw and the little finger at the corner of the lower jaw to give the jaw from the front.one hand method.

The first method is used with most patients and with thin people.**

عيوب استخدام قناع الوجه في التخدير:

1. يدا طبيب التخدير مشغولتان: يحتاج القناع إلى إمساك مستمر، مما يقيّد حركة الطبيب.

2. يحتاج تدفق هواء أعلى: غالباً ما يتطلب تدفقاً أعلى للغازات للحفاظ على التهوية.

3. صعوبة الوصول للمجرى التنفسي في التخدير عن بُعد: في حالات التخدير أثناء التصوير (مثل الأشعة المقطعية أو الرنين المغناطيسي)، يصعب الوصول للمجرى التنفسي.

4. احتمالية أكبر لانخفاض الأكسجين: قد تحدث حالات انخفاض الأكسجين بشكل متكرر، وتحتاج إلى تدخلات إضافية للتحكم في المجرى التنفسي أثناء العملية.

Disadvantages

• The anesthesiologist's hands are tied

• Higher fresh gas flows are often required

• During remote anesthesia, access to the airway is difficult (CT and MRI)
• More episodes of hypoxia often occur and require more airway manipulations during surgery.

مميزات استخدام قناع الوجه في التخدير:

1. احتمالية أقل لحدوث التهيج في الحلق: يقلل من التهيج مقارنة بالأنابيب الأخرى.

2. يحتاج عمق تخدير أقل: مقارنة بأنبوب القصبة الهوائية أو الأجهزة فوق المزمار.

3. لا يحتاج إلى مرخيات العضلات: يمكن استخدامه دون الحاجة لإعطاء أدوية مرخية للعضلات.

4. أقل تكلفة: قد يكون الخيار الأكثر اقتصادية للحالات القصيرة.

Advantages of using a face mask in
anesthesia:

1. Less likely to cause throat irritation: Reduces irritation compared to other tubes.

2. Requires less depth of anesthesia: Compared to a tracheal tube or supraglottic devices.

3. Does not require muscle relaxants: Can be used without the need to give muscle relaxants.

4. Less expensive: May be the most economical option for short cases.

طرق استخدام قناع الوجه:

يجب أن يشكل قناع الوجه إحكاماً جيداً على وجه المريض، مع راحة في يد المستخدم.

يفضل استخدام أصغر قناع ممكن لأنه يقلل من زيادة المساحة الميتة، ويسهل الإمساك به، ويقلل من احتمالية الضغط على العينين.

TECHNIQUES OF USE:

The face mask should form tight seal on the patients face whilefitting comfortably in the

users hand.

The smnallest mask is most desirable because it will cause leastincrease in dead space, easy

to hold & less likely to result in pressure on eyes.

يمكن تقليل المساحه الميته في الماسك من خلال:
1-أستخدام قناع أصغر حجماً
2-زياده الضغط على القناع
3-نفخ نفاثه من الغاز الطازج في القناع
4-تغير حجم وساده الختم

Dead space. in the mask can be reduced by:
1- Using a smaller mask
2- Increasing the pressure on the mask
3- Blowing a jet of fresh gas into the mask
4- Changing the size of the sealing pad

أصغر قناع
هو أفضل لأنه
1- سيتسبب في زياده المساحه ميتيتيه
2-يسهل الامساك به
3-أقل أحتمالاً أن يؤدي إلى الضغط على العينين

The smaller the mask,
the better because:
1- It will cause more dead space
2- It is easier to hold
3- It is less likely to cause pressure on the eyes
