Free speech is under attack in Australia, and you have the power to stop it. The so-called "Combatting Misinformation & Disinformation Bill" is before the Senate, but let's call it what it really is: the "Online Censorship" Bill. This legislation would allow the government to silence political views they don’t like, and we cannot let this happen without a fight.

The Senate Standing Committee on Environment and Communications is holding an inquiry into this "Online Censorship" Bill, and you can make your voice heard by making a personal submission to the committee. Submissions close on 30 September 2024, so time is short.

How to submit your views:

Your submission will only be seen by the committee and secretariat. However, the committee has the authority to publish any submission and will notify you if they intend to publish something you’ve asked to keep confidential.
