Cacao Tree!
~ the pharmacopia of cacao is magnificent and never ceases to amaze me! The leaves themselves have many amazing medicinal and healing properties, and whether they're picked young or picked aged can completely change the type of medicine that they offer!
... if the leaves are used fresh or if the leaves are steamed or roasted/toasted it will also change the type of medicine that they can offer!
? when the leaves are young they have a tonifying property, and will help the organs and tissues "tighten" up ... and if the leaves are more aged they have more of a relaxing property and will help the tissues of the body surrender and release.

The leaves can be used in a way as a decoction/tea to be ingested, or made into a paste/poultice to be used topically to treat wounds or localize their medicine into the tissues for vitalization ... or even dried and smoked with differing effects depending on the age and preparation of the leaves.
