Riddled with old scars,
Buried deep in darkness,
Shrouded far from stars.
I’d never sell it off,
If left in my own care,

Sorrow’s mark laid bare.

What use is my heart,
To a lifeless frame?
My time has come;
My soul departs this game.
I can’t take it along,
Into my burial’s keep.

And shattered too deep.
