Today I tested (with a test an account) some mod apps for Instagram and realized the following facts:

Good Stuff:

- Can block ads and Instagram trackers which is really good
- Custom themes (Material You Theme is my favorite)
- Upload content in full quality
- One click download (It has a dark side)
- Enable experimental features

Really concerning facts:

- Can create a completely new account without triggering any warning from IG
- Can view and download (same one click) story highlights of "private" account, yes you heard me right
- DM doesn't have e2e encryption
- Can save pictures sent through vanish mode
- Watching stories of private accounts without leaving a trace

etc.... I personally reported to Instagram support regarding these concerning facts however, it'll take a while for them to patch even if they consider my report ?

The only piece of advice I have for you all is to treat your IG and social platforms like it's a public account privacy is of course your choice so, it's up to you!

WhatsApp updated their support page to reflect new features added to stickers:

#Gmail got a new Gemini integration with new button.

This is quite similar to their Gmail web integration and previously users were only able to generate a summary of an email now they can do various operations like search for email and so on.

#Google Chrome is getting a deep Google Lens integration.

Previously, Google Lens should be triggered with only a context menu or within Images search only now it has a dedicated trigger and will work quite similar to how it works in mobile.

Did you know that Meta uses all your posts, captions, unencrypted messages and other information shared in Meta Products to train their AI model?

Ex: If you're an artist who posts pictures of your painting in Instagram Meta can use it to train their model so, even if they generated a similar painting later you can't claim ownership..

By default you're opted into this but, there is an option hidden under settings which will take a lot of hurdles for you to find so you can request deletion of your data.

It's always a good practice not to post sensitive info not just in Meta products but also with any other AI chat tools as well.
