This weekend we are hiking together with @strike.wef @debtforclimateswitzerland and @debtforclimatede 🔥🔥🔥.

During the WEF, representatives of business and politics meet every year to further the capitalist exploitation of our planet and social injustices 💲💰. In their mountain fortress 🏔️👮, they feel safe enough to feel authorised to make decisions that affect the whole world.

The very same people are in charge of the countries that have the most voting power in global financial institutions like the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank #NoG7

Together with allies from an incredible number of groups, we make it clear: your ‘green growth’ is a distraction from the real problems and the actual solutions. And we are the change that comes from the buttom up ✊🔥✊🔥✊!

In #Jubilee2025 we declare: it's time. Time to tackle the climate catastrophe, time for global justice, time for unconditional debt cancellation #CancelTheDebt

On this day in 1987, African revolutionary Thomas Sankara was killed in a Western-backed coup. After becoming President of Burkina Faso in 1983, he became a symbol of African liberation. He implemented a program influenced by Marxism-Leninism, pan-Africanism, and women’s liberation. However, forces within the state collaborated with Western powers to overthrow Sankara and roll back the societal gains that had been won up until 1987.

Stand at the Mercadita de lo Común summoned by the National Indigenous Congress (CNI).

The event took place on Saturday, October 12, as part of the Indigenous Resistance Day, the 28th Anniversary of the National Indigenous Congress and the 4th Anniversary of the occupation of the National Institute of Indigenous Peoples, now called the House of Indigenous Peoples and Communities "Samir Flores Soberanes,".

Inspired by the Zapatista experience of the commons and non-ownership, the Mercadita seeks to support the struggle and resistance of the Otomí Indigenous Community living in Mexico City in light of the local and federal governments' lack of willingness to address the Community's demands through Dialogue Tables.

Building solidarity economies together from autonomy and the commons!

✨ Ähnlich wie in vergangenen Jahren erwartet euch im August ein buntes Klimacamp mit zahlreichen spannenden Workshops, Diskussionsrunden, leckerem Essen, Schlafplätzen zum Campieren und rundum guter Stimmung!
? Der inhaltliche Fokus liegt dabei auf den Verbindungen zwischen Klimakrise und Migration. Was haben Grenzen mit Klima zu tun? Wie können wir uns für eine solidarische Gesellschaft und für die Bewegungsfreiheit für alle organisieren?
?? Ein Tag werden wir ausserdem den Geschehnissen und Diskursen rund um Palästina und palästinensischen Freiheitskämpfen widmen.
