One will not believe today if someone informs him or her about the terror campus running in Sopore in 2016 and early.

We will shake our heads in disbelief that something like that was happening and we couldn't do anything.

I won't say it was the peak of terrorism in the valley but a revival and for the revival, there was this one guy who was responsible. He goes by the name Burhan Wani.

Anyone who takes interest in national security might have come across this name at least for once.

Media calls him a son of principal but we will address him as nothing more than a bloody terrorist.

There is a section of society who hates when the other section calls him poster boy whereas I personally believe we should call him lucky charm, he was the terrorist from where the counts of dead bodies began and it only increased with time during those days.

Now it's just reduced to 2 or 3. Maximum 6, haven't heard more than this recently.

There are many theories on how he was killed. My personal favorite is his girlfriend who discovered Burhan has many girlfriends, tipped off the army about his location. (Lol. Doesn't have a character and takes pride in calling himself a fighter for a cause.)

I know it can't get much funnier than this but trust me it does.

When the military reached the given location and confirmed his presence they started setting the house on fire. Wani ran out of the house because if one died by being burnt he won't not get 72 virgins. ☠

When he ran out of the house he was shot down by the 19 RR as he deserved.

The mistake we made was we returned his dead body which caused an uproar in the valley, but that was shortly lived because the Indian Army ensures if you pick up arms they will set a meeting of you and your God.

This encounter came to be known as the Kokernag encounter and today marks its anniversary.

On the basis of its nature and content the war has been understood differently by people from various shades but all of them agree in one way or the other, that war is a "Contention" which means "it is a violent struggle through the application of armed force". They can be broadly divided into two schools of thought, one opposing it while the other supporting it. The former school of thought considers war as a problem?. For them "it is a plague which ought to be eliminated, a mistake which should be avoided, a crime which ought to be punished and an anachronism which no longer serves any purpose". Whereas the other school of thought with a more respective attitude towards the war, regards it a fruitful adventure, a useful instrument, a legitimate and appropriate procedure and "a condition of existence for which one must be prepared". At the level of tactics applied for the realization of foreign policy, war has been regarded to be "the culminat- ing point in a rising scale of pressure. It is the last resort of power politics". On the basis of this division of thought on war it would be essential to understand the underlying factors that influence the nature of war and its relativity to the origin and growth of the civilisation.

Today is birthday of Captain Tushar Mahajan. A dynamic soldier from 9 Para SF was born today and tomorrow we have a CDS examination. If any one of you truly wants to pay tribute to the man who has fallen for the cause we all collectively believe in, then be one of them. Do your best tomorrow.

We lost Captain Mahajan in a hostage/terrorist situation in Jammu and Kashmir. We got one more reason in February of 2016 to serve.

BINDAAS ?

Bust of Constable Mudasir Ahmed Sheikh in Baramulla.

Tehsil Chowk in Baramulla was renamed as Bindas Chowk in Nov. 2022 in his honour.

CT Mudasir, SC attained veergati while neutralizing 3 FTs in May 2022 in Kreeri village of Baramulla district.

Bindas sahab was known for his 'bindaas' and cheerful nature and would voluntarily go on risk postings and operations.

He vowed to eradicate terrorism from J&K, living up to his oath till his last breath.

A citation of a brave pilot attached to the air wing of Special Counter Terrrorism Unit/1 SG at Sarsawa which has been actively conducting high risk special operations.

Came back home and went to holy abode of Valhalla.

Dear brother, God chose you to be Forever 23.

It crashes my heart knowing there is a lot of life left to be lived, they aren't going to live it so.

But for how long we are going to carry the pain in our heart I profoundly ask myself and the answer comes, forever.

For, ever and ever we are going to carry their laughter in our heartbeats. Their memories are also going to be part of our children's bedtime stories.

And let me tell you ladies and gentlemen Captain Shubham Gupta is one such man. He is one such face we are going to miss and mourn his absence.

We are extremely glad that he was here, spreading happiness. It would be cruel to say that it was all time he had but what a time he made out of it.

A rockstar of the unit, the charmer and the fighter, Shubham.

This is to let you all know that his memories aren't going to fade, he has made himself immortal. He is going to be here as long as the Sun shines and Earth stands on its ground of gravity.
