FRIDAY يوم الجمعة

• The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Everyone who invokes a blessing on me will receive ten blessings from Allah."

[Sahih Muslim 384]

• The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"The five (daily) prayers and from one Friday prayer to the (next) Friday prayer, and from Ramadan to Ramadan are expiations for the (sins) committed in between (their intervals) provided one shuns the major sins."

[Sahih Muslim 233]

• Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
"He who performed ablution well then came to Friday prayer, listened (to the sermon), kept silent, all (his sins) between that time and the next Friday would be forgiven with three days extra."

[Sahih Muslim 857]

• The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"On Friday, there is an hour when, if a Muslim happens to pray at that time and ask Alläh for something good, He will give it to him."

[Sahih Muslim 852]

If you want Allah to bless you ten times, remove ten of your sins, and elevate you ten degrees, send blessings upon the Prophet ‎ﷺ once.

If you want Allah to bless you a hundred times, remove a hundred of your sins, and elevate you a hundred degrees, send blessings upon the Prophet ‎ﷺ ten times.

And so on, whenever you send blessings upon him ‎ﷺ, multiply it by ten without any limit.

The Prophet ‎ﷺ said:
“Whoever sends blessings upon me once, Allah will bless him ten times, remove ten of his sins, and elevate him ten degrees.”

And this is not specific to Fridays, but on Fridays, it is more virtuous.

Prophet ﷺ said: “If one of you yawns on Friday (during the Khutbah), let him change from the place he’s sitting to another.”

Shaykh Ibn Baz رحمه الله said:

“It is not legislated to return the salam during the khutbah.

Rather you must remain silent.”

Majmu’ al-Fatawa (v. 12, p. 339)]

Friday strengthens your heart throughout the week, so do not waste its strength by neglecting it, otherwise your heart will become sick and die.

The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever missed three Fridays out of negligence, Allaah will place a seal over his heart."

Sunan an-Nasa'i 1369

Friday Is the Day for Du‘a

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“Jumu‘ah is comprised of 12 portions of time. There is one in which a Muslim who asks Allah for something will have it granted to him. Seek it in the last period after ʿAṣr.” (Abū Dāwūd)

The attack against our brothers and sisters in #Gaza continues.

• Raise your hands and beg Allah to help the Muslims.

• Pray against the oppressors and those who assist them.

• Ask Allah like the one who knows that Allah is All-Powerful.

Do not underestimate the power of du‘ā'.

Benefits of sending Salah upon the Prophet ﷺ

‎Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله authored a book regarding sending Salah and Salam upon the Prophet ﷺ called: Jala' al-Afhaam.

At the end of this book, he mentions almost 40 benefits of sending Salah upon the Prophet ﷺ. Here are some of them:

1) The person sending Salah is following the command of Allāh.

‎2) Allāh will send ten salawat on him everytime he sends Salah upon the Prophet ﷺ

‎3) The person is raised ten levels.

‎4) Ten good deeds are written for him.

‎5) Ten sins are erased from him.

6) His Du'ā is likely to be accepted if he sends Salah at the beginning of the du'a.

‎7) Allāh is sufficient for him from all his worries.

‎8) Sending Salah is a means to attaining the Prophet's ﷺ intercession.

‎9) It is a means to attaining forgiveness for one's sins.

10) It's a means to getting close to the Prophet ﷺ on the day of judgement.

‎11) It's a means to be saved from the terrors of the day of judgement.

‎12) It's a means to remembering something one forgot.

‎13) It's a means to attaining barakah in one's self, actions and life.

14) The Prophet ﷺ responds to the person who sends Salah and Salam upon him.

‎15) The one who always sends Salah upon the Prophet ﷺ will increase in love for him.

اللهمَّ صلِّ على محمَّد وعلى آل محمَّد، كما صليتَ على إبراهيم وعلى آل إبراهيم، إنَّك حميدٌ مجيد. اللهمَ بارِك على محمَّد وعلى آل محمَّد، كما باركتَ على إبراهيم وعلى آل إبراهيم، إنَّك حميدٌ مجيد
