Imagine if you were to forward or start sharing a hadith that you like. You send it to two people.

And let us, for examples sake, say those two both forwarded and shared that hadith to another two. And imagine that chain continuing on. So everyone who sees it forwards/shares it to two other people. So day 1 you sent to two, day 2 its reached 4 people, day 3 is 8, day 4 is 16, etc.

By the end of the month what you shared/forwarded would have reached a whooping 1073741824. That is over a billion people.

Keep in mind to always ensure what you share is correct. As Allah ﷻ says in Surat Al Mujadilah, Verse 6 "On the Day when Allāh will resurrect them all and inform them of what they did. Allāh had enumerated it, while they forgot it; and Allāh is, over all things, Witness."

In our day and age, most of us are out searching for our rizq to the point where it harms our deen or even other aspects in our life.

Allah SWT says in the Quran, "And enjoin prayer upon your family [and people] and be steadfast therein. We ask you not for provision; We provide for you, and the [best] outcome is for [those of] righteousness." (Surat Taha, Verse 132).

Allah ﷻ is the One who provides, it is one of His names. He is Al-Razaq (The Sustainer/Provider) and there is absolutely nothing that we manage to get except by Allah's permission and that it was not by our ability in any sense at all!

And the takeaway from this verse is to do your bit to gather your rizq yes, HOWEVER what is MUCH MORE IMPORTANT is to do what Allah ﷻ has commanded! Look after your deen and the deen of those close to you.

Many people will work crazy hours and multiple jobs in order gather their rizq which Allah ﷻ is the provider of and disregard the command of Allah ﷻ particularly in this verse as He says, "And enjoin prayer upon your family [and people] and be steadfast therein". Many people are too busy with work and dont bother with commanding their children to pray. And if they do, they fall short in "and be steadfast therein", they fall short in continuously commanding their children to pray. Then in the end the child grows up and to be someone who isn't firm with their deen and prayer.

Remember Allah ﷻ says, "And whoever fears Allāh - He will make for him a way out. And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allāh - then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allāh will accomplish His purpose. Allāh has already set for everything a [decreed] extent." (Surat Talaq, Verse 2-3)

Allah ﷻ, Al-Razaq is the One in charge of your rizq. He promises you that He will look after that for you. You are commanded to look after your deen and the deen of your family first and foremost. Don't mix them up.

Another set of verses pertaining to this are Verses 55 to 58 in Surat Adh-Dhariyat, "And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me. Indeed, it is Allāh who is the [continual] Provider, the firm possessor of strength."

Boycotting?

Alhamdulillah we have seen a shift in the Ummah. Where many are trying to stay away from supporting corporations and businesses which endorse and support the killing of our Muslim brothers and sisters around the world. Whilst this is good, boycotting products is just scratching the surface.

What do I mean by that?
Well, we should all be focusing on boycotting our sins as well. Because as Allah ﷻ says in the Surat Ash-Shuraa, "And whatever strikes you of disaster - it is for what your hands have earned, and He (Allah) pardons much."

Such was the case in the battle of Uhud, when the Prophet ﷺ commanded a handful of believers to remain on the mountainside no matter the situation. Although unfortunately this command was not seen through to the end. And it was because of the sins of a handful that resulted in the turn of the battle. Resulting in a defeat and the death of many Muslims.

OUR sins affect OUR Ummah. We can't just boycott products, we must boycott our own sins as well! They don't just affect us, but the entire Ummah!

Reminder!
The day of Ashuraa is coming up!
It is on the 10th of Muharram, which will be on the Tuesday.

It was narrated from Abu Qatadah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Fasting the day of ‘Ashura’, I hope, will expiate for the sins of the previous year.”

If possible fast the Monday as well, as the Prophet ﷺ said he would in order to be different to the Jews by fasting an extra day.

WHAT TO DO IN THE DAY OF ARAFAH?

Talha ibn Ubaydullah ibn Kariz that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, said, "The best dua is dua on the day of Arafah, and the best thing that I or the Prophets before me have said is 'There is no god but Allah, alone, without any partner' (La ilaha illa'llah, wahdahu la sharika lah.)"

Even for the ones who are completing their Hajj this year, they will be in the land of Arafah dedicating their time to making dua!

Today's main focus is dua!
Make a lot of dua!
Be repetitive, beg and plead to Allah ﷻ with all your stresses and pressure and worries. Allah ﷻ loves to be called upon, as He says in the Quran, "And your Lord has proclaimed, "Call upon Me; I will respond to you...""

And know that if you're making a sincere dua, Allah ﷻ will definitely answer you, giving you whatever is best for you.

REMINDER!
Fast the day fo Aarafah to have two years of sins expiated.

Abu Qatadah (RA) narrated that the prophet ﷺ was asked about fasting on the day of ‘Arafah and he said: “It expiates for the past and coming years.” Narrated by Muslim (1162). According to another report: “I ask Allah that it may expiate for (the sins of) the year that comes before it and the year that comes after it.”
