✨⚡️CASE UPDATE⚡️✨

Plaintiffs are three civil rights organizations with two law firms, & as many as 17 attorneys have touched this case since the beginning of these proceedings.

Despite winning at trial & being awarded costs, we have not received a penny from these abusive & malicious plaintiffs. And a recent ruling on fees must be appealed.

If these plaintiffs skirt accountability, they & other partisans will be emboldened to bring even more harmfully frivolous cases — they have no downside because of ~50 year legal precedent that assumes “civil rights” orgs will always operate in good faith. 🤯🤪

We are going on offense, & taking these important legal questions all the way to accountability — no matter how long it takes.

I am so proud of my pro se accomplishments at trial & the work that continues in the appellate court — defending myself against the Plaintiffs’ appeal pro se.

However, to truly hold these monsters accountable — & preserve all our rights under the law — I need help. I need good lawyers, & good lawyers need to get paid.

A big part of me wants to continue & fight every front of this lawfare pro se. But in every project, you are limited in scope, schedules, & resources…

The law is complex & the pro se fight is all-consuming — for just one case! Fighting for justice alone across multiple jurisdictions & various (& new to me) concentrations of law — especially as a non lawyer — is simply not realistic. This is especially true when the legal questions are so important for ALL OF OUR civil rights!

I also can’t put my family through it again — fighting & winning at trial as well as (currently) defending myself against plaintiffs’ frivolous appeal has meant putting all of them second for too long.

This next phase, on offense, will be even more intense, & the law has statutory limitations for pursuing restitution, etc.

All that to say, please help if you can. We have fantastic lawyers who are willing & working with us on reasonable & realistic fees… but legal fees for this case are already close to $500K over three years. The ongoing harm of this lawfare is pronounced & grave. Indeed, the process is the punishment.

Help us ensure that they can never do this to anyone, ever again.
