The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
"Whoever relieves a believer from one of the sorrows of this world, Allah will relieve him from one of the sorrows of the Day of Resurrection, whoever relieves an insolvent (debtor), Allah will relieve him both in this world and the next, and whoever covers a Muslim, Allah will cover him both in this world and the next." Allah will give help to (His) slave as long as the slave himself gives help to his brother. He who embarks on a path in search of knowledge, Allah will ease the way to Paradise for it, and when people gather in one of the houses of Allah, where they read and study the Book of Allah together, tranquillity will surely descend upon them, and mercy will cover them, and angels will surround them, and Allah will remember them among those who are before Him, and whoever becomes delayed in his affairs,his origin will not help him to move faster."'" [Sahih Muslim (2699)].
Also this hadith was transmitted by Imam Ahmad (2/202), Abu Dawud (4946), at-Tirmizi (1930), al-Nasa'i in Sunan al-Kubra (7284, 7285), Ibn Majah (225), Ibn Hibban in his Sahih (534), al-Hakim (4/383) who said: "A trustworthy hadith that is in accordance with the conditions of al-Bukhari and Muslim". See Sahih al-Jami' as-saghir (6577), Sahih at-targhib wa-tarhib (69).
Imam an-Nawawi said: "In this hadith is a proof on the merit of gathering for recitation of the Qur'an in a mosque. And this is the opinion of our madhhab (Shafi'i) and the majority of scholars." See Sharh Sahih Muslim (17/21).
Ḥabīb b. ʿUbayd said: "Do not seek knowledge in order to beautify yourself with it."
{سير أعلام النبلاء رقم ١٣ صحفة ٢٤١}
Umar ibn Al-Khattāb رضي الله عنه said:
“Whoever exposes himself to suspicion should not blame those who think badly of him!”
