Ethiopian Heritage Trust (EHT) was honoured to host the UK Ambassador to Ethiopia, H.E. Darren Welch, at its field site at Entoto Natural Park and at its headquarters in Bole, Addis Ababa, on 26 July 2024. The Ambassador was accompanied by his chief of staff, Mr. Brett Service. Representing EHT were Drs. Tsedeke Abate (EHT president), Alula Pankhurst (EHT vice president) and Kassahun Abie (EHT Program Coordinator). The occasion was marked by planting indigenous tree seedlings at the park and a brief presentation highlighting the work being carried out by EHT at its different sites. This was followed by a cordial discussion between the Ambassador and the three EHT representatives.
It was pointed out that EHT has been planting seedlings of indigenous trees and tree crops in the natural park mentioned above and other sites over the last 25 years. The British council and other similar stakeholders contributed a lot for the development of the park and conservation of cultural heritage since its year of establishment in 1992.
The ambassador was very gracious in his appreciation of the work done by EHT and hoped that this modest beginning would expand in forging good relationship between the Embassy and EHT in the coming years.

የሸዋል ኢድ በዓል አከባበር በተባበሩት መንግስታት የትምህርት የሳይንስና የትምህርት ተቋም (ዩኔስኮ) በማይዳሰስ ቅርስነት ተመዝግቧል።
በዚህም የሸዋል ኢድ በዓል ሀገራችን በማይዳሰስ ቅርስነት በተባበሩት መንግስታት የሳይንስ፣ ትምህርት እና ባህል ድርጅት/ UNESCO የተመዘገበ አምስተኛ ቅርስ ያደርገዋል።
