The UNESCO Youth Climate Action Network (YoU-CAN) is conducting a Study on “Youth Challenges and Actions in the Climate Crisis”, composed of an online survey and regional interviews with young people worldwide. The Study aims to better understand how youth are affected by climate change, what are their needs, and how they are taking action to address it.

The online survey is available in English, French, Spanish, Russian, Chinese and Arabic, and it is open until 25 August 2024.

The survey is accessible to this link, and visuals to help promote the survey are available in this folder.

Your support in disseminating this survey to your networks, or directly reposting from the UNESCO Youth Facebook Page, would be greatly appreciated. We would like to formally invite you to be a part of #PeaceJam2024, our informal community-oriented peace-building activity that connects online and offline communities, both in-country and within the global diaspora.

This online event will be held on the 18th of June from 4:00 PM EAT - 6:00 PM EAT. We use #PeaceJam to mark the UN International Day of Countering Hate Speech, joining the United Nations and the rest of the world in standing up against acts of hate. To “jam” for peace is to improvise peacebuilding without extensive preparation, developing new ideas and ways of doing things spontaneously through the creative interaction of participants.

This year's theme is “#InclusivePeace: Strengthening Ability in Peacebuilding.” The discussion will center around the following key points:

- Amplifying marginalized voices in peacebuilding

- Recognizing the disproportionate impact of conflict and hate speech on persons living with disabilities

- Advocating for inclusion in peacebuilding solutions and building a framework for sustainable and inclusive peace

As a respected leader and advocate for inclusion, your insights and experiences will be invaluable to our discussions.
