Currently working as research assistant at Biomedical instrument & Signal Lab (BIS Lab) at research center for biomedical technologies and robotics (RCBTR) at advanced medical technologies & equipment institute (AMTEI). His main researches are in the fields of computational neuroscience and Brain Computer Interface (BCI) relying on non-linear processing approaches (Chaos, Fuzzy logic and etc) and artificial intelligence methods. Currently, he's working on modeling and investigation of the human cortico-muscular system using simultaneous EEG-EMG recordings, as well as the development of intelligent diagnostic aid systems in the field of major mental, neurological and neurodegenerative disorders.

If your manager had access to the details of your most recent Zoom meeting, just think about the information they could learn. Thanks to the advancement of brain-computer interfaces (BCIs), these scenarios may soon come to pass.

Imagine a BCI as a bridge connecting your brain and an outside device, to put it simply. To do this at the present time, we mainly rely on electroencephalography (EEG), a group of techniques for observing the electrical activity of the brain. However, that is altering. Brain signals can now be analyzed and pertinent brain patterns can be extracted by utilizing multiple sensors and complex algorithms. Then, without the need for surgery, a non-invasive device can record brain activity. The vast majority of currently used and popular BCIs, like wearable headbands and earbuds, aren't even intrusive.

The initial goal of BCI technology development was to enable paralyzed people to think-control assistive devices. However, new use cases are constantly being found. As an illustration, BCIs are now capable of being used as a neurofeedback training tool to enhance cognitive performance.

Even so, the technology is gradually making its way into the mainstream. More and more startups and established tech companies are developing BCIs that are safer, more precise, and more affordable.
