پاسخ این پرسش‌ها بر مبنای حقیقت یا قانون کلی شکل گرفته است، قوانین ثابت و مشخصی که همه در مورد آن می‌دانند. این حقایق در هر زمان و مکانی می‌توانند مطرح شوند و برای ساختن آن‌ها از جملات شرطی نوع صفر کمک می‌گیریم. بنابراین، جملات شرطی نوع صفر دو ویژگی مهم دارند که عبارت است از:

برای بیان حقیقتی کلی یا عمومی، قوانین و عادت‌های همیشگی به کار می‌روند.
