One of the most beautiful McDonald's opened after reconstruction

A McDonald's has reopened at the Nyugati railway station after a 6-month renovation. The restaurant's interior was created based on plans by the Australian design studio Landini, which were adapted to the conditions of the location by the Hungarian interior designer Geza Sas.

The restoration project is based on the McDonald's RAY design concept, which is complemented by unique mirror surfaces, copper-finished lamps and several special furniture elements that match the building. All interior elements are made of natural materials: cast terrazzo floors, wood, leather and copper coverings were used. The decorative painting of the interior columns was done by a restorer.

WizzAir fined 300 million forints for pushing passengers towards more expensive services

WizzAir failed to disclose that passengers could purchase “additional services” included in some packages separately, and thus the low-cost airline encouraged consumers to buy more expensive packages, the Competition Authority (GVH) said in a statement.

The GVH found the airline to be in breach of the prohibition on unfair commercial practices, and has been fined 300 million forints (752 700 €).

Ticket prices will not increase this year, last year's discounts will remain, and budget beach food will appear as a new item. A day ticket per adult costs 3,000 Ft.

The place has undergone a transformation and the word "Beach" has disappeared from its name. From now on, Lupa positions itself more as a location for family programs, where you can enjoy active recreation and also try water sports.

In addition, admission will be free for the first fifty guests on opening day. Entry will continue to be free for visitors under 12 years of age throughout the season.

Budapest Ranked in the Top 10 for Scenic Drives

The car rental service DiscoverCars has compiled a top 20 list of the most beautiful regions and places to enjoy stunning sights while driving. The Hungarian capital made it into the top ten.

The ranking was based on reviews from 250,000 customers, considering only destinations that received more than 500 reviews.

The first nine locations were chosen primarily for their natural beauty, mainly due to their proximity to rocky coastlines. These include Hobart in Australia, Funchal in Portugal, Kefalonia in Greece, Ponta Delgada in the Azores, and Larnaca in Cyprus. Budapest became the first major city in the ranking, securing the 10th spot. It surpassed locations such as Munich, Zagreb, Skopje, Cape Town, and Vienna.

The traditional PIKNIK festival will be held in the 5th district this weekend

The 16th Fesztivál PIKNIK will take place in Belváros on Saturday and Sunday. Visitors can enjoy concerts by Hungarian performers and a series of programs consisting of musical evenings, a little zoo and puppet shows.
