I never saw a person have so much reliance and trust in Allah, even when the Earth crushed him.
I never saw a night pass except that Musa’s tears to Allah would force me to weep and I’d beg him to stop because my heart would ache for him.
His first love was Allah and He was unfailingly just and kind towards me.”

إنَّ لكم ربًّا ليسَ إلى عقابِ أحدِكم بسريعٍ، يُقيلُ العَثْرةَ، ويَقبَلُ التَّوبةَ، ويُقبِلُ على المُقبِلِ، ويعْطِفُ على المُدبرِ

"Verily , you have a Rabb who is not quick to punish any of you, who overlooks those who stumble, who accepts repentance and accepts those who turn to Him, and is kind to those who schemingly turn away."

Go. Repent before it's too late

Al-Kahf 18:58

وَرَبُّكَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ذُو ٱلرَّحْمَةِۖ لَوْ يُؤَاخِذُهُم بِمَا كَسَبُوا۟ لَعَجَّلَ لَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابَۚ بَل لَّهُم مَّوْعِدٌ لَّن يَجِدُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦ مَوْئِلًا

And your Lord is Most Forgiving, Owner of Mercy. Were He to call them to account for what they have earned, then surely, He would have hastened their punishment. But they have their appointed time, beyond which they will find no escape.

THE MAJORITY OF SINNERS RELY ON THE MERCY OF ALLAH

You should know that the majority of wrong-doers and sinners rely on the Mercy, the Forgiveness and the Generosity of Allah, while at the same time, neglecting and overlooking His severe punishment.

This biased understanding occurred to them because they wrongly assumed the Mercy of Allah is like tenderness.

This [wrong] conclusion was deduced because they likened the Mercy of Allah to the mercy of the creation, as they think it is similar to how when a person witnesses his enemy being tortured he condoles with him and hence his heart will be soft toward him. While, in fact, the Mercy of Allah is absolutely not of this kind.As for he who seeks forgiveness while still insisting on committing sins, then indeed, he is like a stubborn person ignoring all the warnings.

Delaying repentance?

The example of someone who delays [repenting] is like someone who wants to uproot a tree, but finds that it’s very strong and will only be uprooted with difficulty.

So he said: I will delay its uprooting for one year, then I will come to uproot it.

But he doesn’t know the longer the tree lives, the more firmly rooted it’ll be, and that the older he is, the weaker he’ll be.
