Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله:

“Guidance and Tawhīd are from the greatest ways to achieve happiness, whereas Shirk and misguidance are from the greatest causes of misery and constriction.

From the affairs that cause happiness is the light that Allāh places in the heart of the servant, which is the light of Īmān (faith). Indeed, this brings happiness to the breast and expands it, and it brings joy to the heart.

If this light is lost from the servants heart, then it is miserable and annoyed and it ends up in the most distressful and difficult of prisons.”

✅ Reviving the Sunnahs of jumu'ah

1. 🚿 Taking a bath or shower : It is Sunnah to take a bath or a shower on the day of Jumu'ah before attending the Friday prayer.

2.👚 Wearing clean and nice clothes : it is encouraged to dress nicely and wear clean clothes on the day of Jumu'ah.

1. 🕌 Going to the mosque early : it is sunnah to go to the mosque early on the day of Jumu'ah for the congregational prayer and to listen to the khutbah (sermon).

4.📖 Reciting Surah Kahf : it is highly encouraged sunnah to recite Surah Kahf (chapter 18 of the Quran) on the day of Jumu'ah.

1. 🤲 Making dua : It is sunnah to make dua (supplication) on the day of Jumu'ah during the last hour before sunset, as it is a special time when duas are more likely to be accepted.

2. 💰 Giving charity : it is encouraged to give charity on the day of Jumu'ah, as it is a blessed day for giving and helping those in need.

3. 🧴Perfume: It is recommended for men to apply perfume before going to jumuah prayer

When The Heart Is Agitated

Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim A-Jawzeeyah [رحمه الله] said:

«إذا اضطرب القلب وقلق فليس له ما يطمئن به سوى ذكر الله.»
