It slipped my mind completely. I apologize. I’ve decided to start posting stories Friday after I’m finished translating an Islamic pdf that has a deadline and is of importance. OnceI figure out how to do it, I’ll open a bot and those who wish, can volunteer to be admins and so there will be more frequent posts إن شاء الله

Abu Huraira reported: Al-Aqra’ ibn Habis saw the Prophet ‎ﷺ kissing his grandson Al-Hasan.

He said, “I have ten children and I do not kiss any of them.”

The Prophet said, “Verily, whoever does not show mercy will not receive mercy.”

A Kiss That Changed My Son’s Life

*When my son was a student in the faculty of Law, I used to shout at him a lot. A day wouldn’t pass without blaming and quarreling, until I became bored of him and because disgusted with looking at him. And in return, he would act badly and stubbornly. Our main problem was his interest in his studies.

That day, I passed by his room and found it slightly open. I looked inside it and found him sleeping in the cold without a cover. So I entered the room and started to cover him, and I wanted to leave but I returned to him and kissed him. I kissed him on his forehead and left. In the morning, I ‎saw my son in a way that I almost don’t recognize; calm. He gave me Salam and sat beside me. The days went on and he started studying very well. His manners improved a lot and I was amazed at that and said :

“ Maybe Allah answered the dua of his poor mother”

That day, I learned the secret to his big transformation. And what I say to you is what my beloved son told his mother :

“The reason to my situation improving goes back to the night my father entered the room and kissed me on my head. I was awake before my father entered the room. When he came in, he thought I was sleeping and I didn’t want to see or talk to him. I thought he didn’t like me and didn’t want me in his life. But he shook my feelings and emotions when he kissed me. I felt in that moment that he still loved me and that life had hope.

I spent the night crying. I was crying out of happiness because of what my father did to me. And I cried out of sadness of what I did to him and that was when I decided to change.”*
