A police chase, that began on NY-17 in the Catskills area, ended in a dramatic crash on the thruway ramp Friday afternoon, leading to two people being taken into custody.

The high-speed pursuit, which startled drivers along the busy highway, culminated when the suspect's vehicle lost control and crashed on the ramp.

At some point, the vehicles reached speeds of up to 120mph as they attempted to escape from multiple pursuing police units.

Two vehicles were severely damaged in this accident.
