MAWLID

Shaikh Saleh Al-Fawzan (may Allah preserve him):

Celebrating the Prophet’s birthday (Mawlid ) is a Bid’ah (innovation) and every innovation is misguidance, as per the Hadeeth

Shaikh Ibn baz  (may Allah have mercy on him):

Even if it is done by a lot of people today the innovation are countless nowadays and the sins are countless nowadays and that a lot of people do it is not an proof against the book of Allah Nor against the Sunnah of his Messenger ﷺ

Sheikh Saleh Al-Luhaidan (may Allah have mercy on him):

If the Prophet did not invent the Mawlid nor did the Rightly Guided Caliphs nor was it known in the era of the Sahabah nor the era of the  Tabi’een Nor in the era of their followers, nor in the era of any of the four imams.
So, four hundred years passed, and the people did not know of anything called Mawlid. So it is a Bid’ah (innovation)

Sheikh Al-Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him):

Let’s question if we revere the Messenger ﷺ more than them? No.
Do we love the Messenger more than them? No.
If this is the case, then  we must follow their steps and not celebrate the Prophet’s Mawlid because it is an innovation

Shaikh Saleh Al-Fawzan (may Allah preserve him):

So the Muslim must avoid and not participate in it.

Seeking the Love of Allah: Wisdom from the Supplication of Dawud (AS)
-

Abu Ad-Darda’ narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said,

“It used to be from the supplication of Dawud that he would say: ‘O Allah, indeed, I ask You for Your love and the love of those who love You, and for the action that will cause me to attain Your love, O Allah, make Your love more beloved to me than myself, my family and cold water (Allāhumma innī as’aluka ḥubbaka wa ḥubba man yuḥibbuka wal-amalalladhī yuballighunī ḥubbak. Allāhummajal ḥubbaka aḥabba ilaiyya min nafsī, wa ahlī wa minal-mā’il-bārid) He said: “And when the Prophet (ﷺ) would mention Dawud, he would narrate about him, saying: “He was the best in worship out of all men.”

We can apply this in our daily lives by

  1. Being mindful of our words and actions.

2. Avoiding gossip and backbiting

3. Treating everyone with respect and courtesy, regardless of their social standing

Al-Anfal 8:29

O you who have believed, if you fear Allāh, He will grant you a criterion[1] and will remove from you your misdeeds and forgive you. And Allāh is the possessor of great bounty

The Sacred Ritual of Wudu: A Guide
-
Wudu (Ablution) is a fundamental ritual in Islam, required before performing prayers, handling the Quran, and other sacred activities. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to perform Wudu, along with insightful Hadith and Quranic references:

Step 1: Intention (Niyyah)

Make the intention to perform Wudu, saying "Bismillah" (In the name of Allah).

Step 2: Wash Hands
Wash your hands up to the wrists three times. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "The key to Paradise is prayer, and the key to prayer is Wudu." (Sahih Muslim)

Step 3: Rinse Mouth
Rinse your mouth three times, making sure to swish water around your mouth and spit it out. Allah says, "And your garments purify, and your souls, and remember Allah's favors upon you, that you may be successful." (Quran 7:206)

Step 4: Rinse Nose
Rinse your nose three times, blowing your nose gently each time. The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, "When a servant performs Wudu, his sins are washed away from his body, and he is cleansed of his mistakes." (Sunan Abu Dawud, 1:55)

Step 5: Wash Face
Wash your face three times, from forehead to chin and ear to ear. Allah says, "O you who believe! When you rise up for prayer, wash your faces and your hands up to the elbows, and wipe your heads and your feet up to the ankles." (Quran 5:6)

Step 6: Wash Arms
Wash your arms up to the elbows three times.

Step 7: Wipe Head
Wipe your head, including your hair, once.

*Additional Tips:

The Honorable Women of Jannah

Shaykh Muhammad Nāsir Ad-Dīn Al-Albāni رحمه الله said:

"The best women of the people of Jannah are:

  1. Khadīja Bint Khuwaylid (first wife of the Prophet ﷺ)

  2. Fātimah Bint Muhammad (daughter of the Prophet ﷺ)

  3. Maryam Bint ‘Imrān (mother of ‘Īsa عليه السلام)

  4. Āsiyah Bint Muzāhim (wife of Fir’awn).”

Warning Against a Widespread Bida’ah
Shaykh Muhammad bin Sālih al-Uthaymīn رحمه الله stated:⬇️

“Some of the people today have innovated regarding Surah al-Fātihah and have began closing their supplications and beginning their sermons with it and reciting it on (what they consider) special occasions, and this is incorrect. You’ll find, for example, if one makes Du’ā they’ll say to those around them, ‘al-Fātihah!’, as a command for them to recite Surah al-Fātihah. Those who begin their khutbas with it and select specific occasions for reciting it are in error, because worship is built upon that which is confined to textual evidence along with compliance with the Sunnah.”

One of the best attributes of a Believer is forgiveness towards those who offend him, as it displays strength.

‎The Prophet ﷺ said:

‘No person forgives another except that Allah will honor him on the Day of Judgment.

‎Narrated by Ahmad (1/193)

Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen رحمه الله said:

"When a person is at home then it is from the Sunnah, that for example he makes his own tea, cooks if he knows how to and washes up that which needs washing, all of this is from the Sunnah.

If you do this then you get the reward of following the Sunnah, with imitating Rasulullah [ ﷺ] and in humbling yourself for Allaah - the Mighty and Majestic.

This also brings about love between you and your wife. When your family sense that you help them in their chores they will love you and your value to them will increase, therefore, this will end up being a great benefit."

It was narrated from Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:⬇️

Jibril came to me and said: ‘O Muhammad! Tell your Companions to raise their voices when reciting the Talbiyah, for it is one of the symbols of Hajj.
