🇱🇹 Pirmojo Latvijos prezidento sūnus profesorius Konstantinas Čakstė mirė 1945 m. vasario 22 d. Štuthofo koncentracijos stovykloje. Jį palaidojo kitas šios stovyklos kalinys lietuvis kunigas Alfonsas Lipniūnas. Tuo metu jis neturėjo teisės laidoti nekataliko, tačiau toje vietoje tą akimirką šis kunigas neskirstė žmonių. Tarp asmeninių Lipniūno daiktų, išlikusių iki šių dienų, yra Latvijos ir Lietuvos vėliavos, kurias kunigui Alfonsui padovanojo Konstantinas Čakstė. Šiuo metu baigiamas kunigo Lipniūno beatifikacijos procesas.

🇱🇻1945. gada 22. februārī Štuthofas koncentrācijas nometnē mira Latvijas pirmā prezidenta dēls profesors Konstantīns Čakste. Viņu apglabāja cits šīs nometnes gūsteknis - lietuviešu priesteris Alfonss Lipniūnas. Toreiz Alfonsam nebija tiesību apglabāt tos kuri nebija katoļi, taču tajā vietā priesteris tobrīd nedalīja cilvēkus. Starp Lipniūna personīgajām mantām, kas saglabājušās līdz mūsdienām, ir Latvijas un Lietuvas karogi, kurus priesterim uzdāvināja Konstantīns Čakste. Šobrīd tiek pabeigts priestera Lipniūna beatifikācijas process.

🇬🇧Professor Konstantinas Čakstė, the son of the first president of Latvia, died in 1945 February 22 in the Stutthof concentration camp. He was buried by another prisoner of this camp - a Lithuanian priest Alfonsas Lipniūnas. At that time Alfonsas did not have the right to bury a non-Catholics, but in that place at that moment the priest did not divide people. Among the personal belongings of Lipniūnas, which have survived to this day, are the flags of Latvia and Lithuania, which were gifted to the priest by Konstantinas Čakstė. The beatification process of priest Lipniūnas is currently being completed.

In 1918, on this day, the Latvian People's Council in the building of the Latvian National Theater in Riga city announced that the sovereign state power in Latvia had passed into its hands and appealed to the citizens of Latvia with a proclamation declaring that Latvia is an independent and democratic republic.

?? Latviešu karavadonis pulkvedis Voldemārs Ozols, būdams pirmais Lietuvas armijas ģenerālštāba priekšnieks, atbildēja poļiem cīņās par Viļņu: "Latvieši un lietuvieši ir viens un tas pats."

?? Latvių vadas pulkininkas Voldemārs Ozols, kaip pirmasis Lietuvos kariuomenės generalinio štabo viršininkas, mūšiuose už Vilnių lenkams atsakė: „Latviai ir lietuviai yra vienas ir tas pats“.
