There is not an accident in our lives, not a misshapen day, or a misfortune, that could not be traced back to our own doings in this or in another life. If one breaks the laws of Harmony, or, as a theosophical writer expresses it, “the laws of life,” one must be prepared to fall into the chaos one has oneself produced.

Karma-Nemesis is no more than the (spiritual) dynamical effect of causes produced and forces awakened into activity by our own actions.

This state will last till man’s spiritual intuitions are fully opened, which will not happen before we fairly cast off our thick coats of matter; until we begin acting from within, instead of ever following impulses from without; namely, those produced by our physical senses and gross selfish body. Until then the only palliative to the evils of life is union and harmony – a Brotherhood IN ACTU, and altruism not simply in name. The suppression of one single bad cause will suppress not one, but a variety of bad effects.

Before the soul can see, the Harmony within must be attained, and fleshly eyes be rendered blind to all illusion.

Then the soul will hear, and will remember.

You can’t answer all your questions about your path at once. You just can’t. And if you try to, you will end up answering none of them. You will just be more confused than when you began. Because the questions have an intrinsic order to them. They build upon each other. For example, you probably can’t answer the question of your ultimate calling while you are still confused about how to heal from your trauma. It simply isn’t possible to see the path in its entirety, when there are still mountains of emotional debris in the way. First things, first. It can be helpful to write all your life goals down, but stay with the goal that truly matters right now. Stay focused on the stage you are at, before seeking to address the next stage of inquiry. If you do it this way, you will unfold at the precise pace that you should. You will arrive at your own door, right when you are ready to open it.
