Hello aspirants ***🇮🇳******🇮🇳***

Hello aspirants 🇮🇳🇮🇳

Recently You-Gov mint centre for policy research conducted a Survey on indian middle class.

- 88% of urban netizens consider them as middle class. This shows a lack of definition on middle class.

- PRICE report (private survey)defines middle class individual as one who earns between 1.09 lakh to 6.46 lakh per year.

- From social perspective this survey depicts…. There are no fixed boundaries to ascertain …who are haves and have nots of society…Rather there is a tendency to depict oneself simply as middle-class.

- “New middle class” ( Revise it )

Size: India's middle class is over 250 million people.

Growth: The middle class is expected to nearly double to 61% of the population by 2046-47.

Economic impact: The middle class contributes about 50% of India's total income.

Consumer potential: The middle class is a powerhouse of global economic activity and brands can expect a surge in consumption.

Have a nice Day 😊

Latent function of Self Help Groups. SHGs are formed to give easier access to credit and other facilities especially to women. It is a notable achievement that apart from its manifest function, SHGs have also been able to reduce the incidences of DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.
In Bihar, SHGs under the Jeevika programme reported a 40% decrease in domestic violence cases due to collective action and legal awareness campaigns from 2016 to 2019 (Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society Report 2019).
